This is a fantastic day out! Well organised and stress free! - This is such a fantastic trip! Right from the get go, the journey was smooth, well organised and the day itself felt thoroughly prepared. The train journey is really lovely, lunch was great, the duck tour was very fun and the Skyrail back through the rainforest was amazing! Kuranda is a lovely little village and the shops have lots of unique little trinkets that I loved. My favourite part of the day was the aboriginal experience. It was so interesting to talk and learn about aboriginal culture and it was great fun to practice boomerang throwing. It’s hard to believe it’s possible to fit so many things into one day! It did not feel rushed at all and there was plenty of time to do everything! I would have loved an extra half an hour in Kuranda village, but that’s because I personally wanted to spend more time there to make sure I’d seen everything and not because we were rushed onto the next thing. Overall, this tour is easygoing, highly informative and a lot of fun. I had an amazing day! I can’t wait to bring a friend next time I’m in Cairns!

Overall a great tour. ... - Overall a great tour. Coordination at the end of the train ride was a bit strange as our train was delayed getting in. We walked up to the town (3 minute walk) and explored a bit before meeting up with the bus as the butterfly sanctuary. After that, the trip was super smooth. Very hands on and interactive at the Rainforestation park. The cable car ride at the end was amazing and scenic.

Special experience - It was a bad weather, but I really enjoyed the extraordinary experience. It was very convenient, with a transfer to and from my hotel. It was a lot of fun to see the trains on Kuranda and the special landscape of the rainforest, as well as Aboriginal culture and wildlife.

Great day - Great time, train ride was super cool, hot but fun. The activities were superb. Tribal dance, duck truck ride..and finally skyrail down. Highly recommended. Only bummer was that on way back it rained so couldnt stop half way and do the glass bridge.

Wonderful trip - This trip has many activities and all of them are interesting. We enjoyed railroad trip and visit to the local market. The highlights of the trip were throwing bumerang, petting a wallaby and totally amazing skyrail trip over the rainforest canopy. I recommend downloading the skyrail app and listening to the commentary during the ride.

Rainforest day trip - An exposure to the rainforest area including the people who live there. The experience included scenic rides on an historic railway and a sky lift, a barbecue lunch and a tour of the rainforest in a WWII-era vintage Army duck amphibious vehicle.

Don’t Miss this One! - Very organized experience! You won’t regret it and you definitely won’t forget it! Loved the aboriginal immersion. I honor and respect the original inhabitants of the land. The Army Duck vehicle ride thru the jungle terrain was as fantastic! The one I had just happened to be a doppelgänger of Joseph Gordon Levitt (s/o to Mark that handled the vehicle, informative pieces of the rainforest and jokes beautifully). The Aussie BBQ lunch was super tasty! The local shops had a variety of beautiful things at affordable prices. The cable car ride was gorgeous & serene! The Kuranda scenic rail was superb & nostalgic! Be prepared to have a fantastic time!

Good experience - Very good service, good combination of train and cable car. Food is good. Rainforest is good to explore. We were able to capture the koala moving and eating instead of sleeping, LOL.

Amazing day! - We enjoyed our trip on the historical train to Kuranda. Check out the train history before you board the train in ‘Red’ Lynch’s Cottage, which is air conditioned! Most of the markets were closed when we were in Kuranda. We did ride the ducks and enjoyed the aboriginal dance plus took our turn at throwing a boomerang! Saw a cassowary walking around near the aboriginal dance theater!! Sky glide trip was worth the trip to see Barron Falls from a different perspective than the stop on the train.

Check weather before booking ! - Definitely check weather before you book! The main attractions for us was the train but couldn’t / canceled because of land slips. Was raining so hard could not see anything at viewing platforms. Duck tour was good 👍. Meal was mediocre 😕 didn’t have time to visit trading shops. Butterfly experience closed because they don’t fly when it rains 😕 Couldn’t see the views from sky rail because travelling through clouds and heavy rain. 😕 unfortunately costly waste of day.
