The tour kicks off at 2:00 PM in a Toyota 4x4, taking a scenic 50-minute drive to the base of the dune. Upon reaching the destination, the vehicle stays parked at the bottom as the group proceeds on foot, ascending a wooden staircase that leads into the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park. Here, participants have the opportunity to explore some of the region’s most stunning lagoons, such as the renowned Lagoa Bonita, Lagoa do Clone, Lagoa do Massarico, and Lagoa do Descanso, among others. Each stop presents breathtaking views, pristine waters, and a special connection with nature. As the afternoon progresses, the group prepares for one of the tour’s highlights: witnessing the magnificent sunset that bathes the sky and dunes in golden and orange hues—a truly unforgettable natural spectacle. The return to Barreirinhas is planned for around 7:00 PM, concluding an afternoon filled with adventure, awe-inspiring landscapes, and cherished memories.
