• Oscar Getz Museum of Whiskey History - Originally established as a College & Seminary in 1826, this building was later repurposed as a hospital for both the North and South during the Civil War. It also served as a home for orphaned boys under the care of The Sisters of Charity. Today, the Oscar Getz Whiskey Museum occupies the main floor, offering guests an immersive experience in Kentucky’s rich culture!

The tour begins with a delightful treat of freshly baked biscuits from local baker Lisa Reed Sheckles, accompanied by Famous Jake’s Country Sausage.

• Scout & Scholar Brewing Co. - The sole brewery in Bardstown, named in honor of William and David Bard. The land now known as Bardstown was granted to David Bard by the governor of Virginia. Originally called Salem, settlement began in the 1770s. In 1780, William Bard, David’s brother, established Bardstown on this site. It became the county seat when Nelson County, Virginia was formed in 1784.

Here, guests will enjoy Kentucky beer cheese with pretzels and loaded nachos, paired with Scout’s top-selling beer, Ol’ Buddy.

• Liam Ash Cocktail Emporium - A cocktail emporium founded by Will and Alicia Hardy in historic Bardstown, KY.
• Talbott Tavern - Built in 1779 at the crossroads of the young west, the Tavern has welcomed many travelers, including Jesse James and King Louis Philippe!

Guests will savor a southern delicacy, fried green tomatoes, paired with 1792 single barrel whiskey, hand-selected by the Tavern!

• Mr. Tubs - Once a bustling laundromat, Mr. Tubs has been transformed into a vibrant and eclectic bar! It retains its original name as a tribute to its humble beginnings, exuding unique charm with its industrial-chic aesthetic that blends remnants of its laundry past with modern décor and ambiance.

Here, guests will enjoy a local favorite, Gethsemane fruit cake, paired with Monk’s Road whetted whiskey!

The Taste of Bardstown Tour covers about one mile and lasts approximately three hours.
