A perfect start to our time in Barcelona! - Our family took this wonderful tour just hours after landing in Barcelona. The goal was to demystify the whole tapas scene. What we got was so much more! Our time with our guide, Noah, made a huge difference in our exploration of this amazing city. We found the food and wine to be a delight at each of our stops. But… it was Noah’s passion for the food, history, and people of Barcelona that made this experience so memorable.

Fabulous tapas and tasting tour in Poble Sec! - We loved the tasting of tapas and different drinks with Lorea. She was fantastic: knowledgeable and fun. We tried new dishes that we loved and we likely would never have known to try them. We had a great tour through the neighbourhood. We really enjoyed ourselves and we would highly recommend this tour.

An Evening To Remember - This tour was well worth it for our group of four friends! Not only did we get to spend a few hours with a cordial local, we got to see a part of the city that felt more authentic and off the main tourist areas. Lorea was absolutely fantastic at assessing our group's likes/wants/needs. We were taken out of our comfort zone, but not too far. This tour was at the very end of our trip, but the experiences we had were completely different than at any other tapas restaurant. It was clear that she had called the restaurants ahead of time to have things ready for us, too. We all highly recommend this tour!

Eat it up - Fun knowledgeable host/guide. Terrific food choices. I was stiffed at the end of the night. Including background on street names made the walk more interesting

Must do food tour away from the touristy areas - We picked this tour to get away from the typical tourist tapas places. Wow, did we get it right! Noah took us to 3 wonderful little spots in the El Poble-sec district. First was a seafood restaurant where, despite our usual preference for red wine we went with the waiter’s recommended white. That was a great decision as it paired so well with the seafood tapas. The highlight was the cured tuna over artichoke that you’d swear was jamón. The next place went in the other direction with most things pork. Some great dishes paired with a great red. Lastly was dessert at a third place. A nice light, not very sweet sparkling wine with two different sweet treats to cap off a great evening. We can’t say enough about our guide, Noah. While the food was great, his knowledge of food, the city and its history made the evening a memorable one.

An enchanting evening with a new “old friend.” - Lorea was a great host. It was a captivating stroll through a quiet part of Barcelona which was a welcome change from our hectic pace. She really enhanced our experience through her insights and descriptions of the traditional meals, culture and history of the region and Spain in general. It was if we were meeting up with a dear friend and catching up. The time flew by and we were truly sorry to have the evening come to an end. We now are looking forward to returning to Barcelona and continuing our enhancing culinary experience.

5 stars--do this food tour! - Maribel was so knowledgeable about the food, drink, culture, and history of the area! We tried all kinds of things (some of the expected, but mostly the unexpected--and it was all delicious, something for everyone.) We had an absolutely wonderful time both during the tour and after (Maribel sent along a list of suggestions for all kinds of experiences/restaurants in Barcelona--we had an incredible final meal in the city thanks to that list she sent along!)
