- Explore Catalunya - 9:00am - Begin your day at our office, conveniently located opposite the renowned Palau de la Musica. Meet your guide and get an overview of the day’s activities.
- Mas Comtal - 10:30am - Our first stop is a delightful winery. The owner herself will give you a tour, making you feel like an old friend or family member. She will share her family’s passion for winemaking, and you’ll sample some of their finest wines. The breathtaking view of Montserrat as a backdrop to the vineyards makes this visit truly memorable. This is a genuine, family-owned winery, and you might even meet other family members as they go about their day. It’s a true privilege to visit here.
- Felix Massana Rafols - 12.00pm - The second winery is another small, family-owned establishment where the owners will personally guide you. This intimate visit includes a tour of their underground cellars, which they carved out themselves. You’ll enjoy a personalized wine tasting experience, with the owner’s wife offering a variety of wines based on your preferences.
- Pacs del Penedes - 2.00pm - After visiting two exceptional wineries, we’ll take you to a farmhouse-style restaurant for a traditional local lunch. There are various typical dishes to choose from, but the standout feature for most is the restaurant’s location—right in the heart of the vineyards!
- Pares Balta - 3.30pm - Our final winery of the day is another family-owned gem. The grapes here are grown organically and follow a biodynamic approach to winemaking. You’ll learn about this innovative method as you walk through the vineyards, explore their underground cellars, and enjoy an extensive wine tasting, followed by an olive oil tasting.
- Palace of Catalan Music - 6.30pm - We will depart from our last winery and return to Barcelona around 6.30pm.

On this excursion from Barcelona, a knowledgeable guide will escort you to three distinct wineries in the renowned Penedés area, celebrated for its viticulture, that effectively represent the finest of Catalan cava. Understand both traditional and contemporary techniques of winemaking and cava production, explore various types, and of course, enjoy tasting them! The limited group size of this trip ensures a close-knit experience with fellow wine enthusiasts.

Our tour will either return to the office at the end of the day, or to Placa Catalunya, depending on the vehicle we use for the tour that day. Placa Catalunya is a short walk less than five minutes away from our main office.

Great day exploring Penedes - Exceptional wine tour. Went to 3 wineries, all were small independent wineries, got to sample a variety of cava, white, and red. Area is beautiful, learned a lot about the region and winemaking process. Our tour guide was excellent. Lunch was good and at a local restaurant. Overall would highly recommend.

Felt like old friends! - All three wineries were great, but Kristine, the owner of Felix Massana's was by far my favorite person! We not only bought wine, but olive oil & honey as well. It's amazing how they do everything themselves & by hand.
I think our 5 kids (ages 28-18) liked the wine from Pares Balta best, but I liked Massana's best.
Mas Comtal was the most gorgeous winery & their wines were excellent.
Enrique was our guide & he was full of knowledge & so interesting!

Worth it! - Amazing day! We went to 3 local wineries and learned lots about the region and wine making. Our guide was top notch and lunch was at a quaint local restaurant with lots of good food, wine and charm. It was a great way to spend the day!!

Very relaxing day! - This was such a great way to spend a day! Each winery was so different and they were lined up on the schedule perfectly. It made for a much better appreciation for what they’re doing. Wine was delicious, food was yummy, and everyone was very friendly! Very relaxing day!

Great experience! - The tour was anaxing! Xavier was fun and knowledgeable and the small group was perfect for our trip. We had a delicious local lunch and visited theee small vineyards complete with a tour! Every tour was informative and everyone was so welcoming and warm! Would highly recommend this tour!!

Best day of our trip - David was amazing!! Of the 12 days we spent in Spain this was probably our favorite day. He gave us lots of information, took us to an amazing local restaurant that grilled meat and let us grill duck at our table!!! He told us about the local traditions and gave us some insight into Catalonia and Barcelona. The 3 wineries we went to were unique and amazing in their own ways. I cant say enough about how great the day and our tour guide were. I almost felt like a local. Just a perfect day. Thank you!!

Relaxing, fun & educational experience - Fun, friendship & education. 3 quite different wineries - one family, one larger but experimenting with climate change options and the 3rd introducing new styles through changes in techniques.Very enjoyable lunch by the vineyards with the other couple on the tour.
