Excellent wine and monastery tour with some Picasso, Degas, Monet, Sargent Caravaggio & Dali thrown in as lagniappe. - Although the weather was cold and rainy and should have been miserable it wasn’t. Luis was friendly, informative and accommodating. The winery tour was excellent, and the wine even better. Luis provided suggestions on dinning, detailed information about the monastery and recommend the museum next to the monastery. I was blown away by the fine art in the museum.

Mont Serrat and guide were great but wine tasting short changed us. - Our driver Mercel was great and Mont Serrat was excellent. The tour of the winery was good but the wine tasting portion felt very rushed and when my daughter had not finished one glass it got poured out before she had time to drink it . The pour amounts for the tasting were also very small and the tour description said we would get local meats and cheeses and we did not get any of that. Very disappointing way to end the day. At the end, Mercel added some time to see the Olympic sites since we were done 2 hours early. Someone needs to talk to the winery at Vins el Cep that they need to work on presentation. The wine was good but again we felt rushed, short changed and missed out on the food that was supposed to be included. Tour guide great but wine tasting was not great!!

Great tour, shame about the tour guide - Our tour was 8th Feb (Sat) with hotel pick up which was very convenient. Van was lovely and clean and spacious. Cava tasting and tour via their very own guide was fun. Although the places we visited are lovely and I would definitely recommend a visit, I wouldn’t recommend our tour guide who was Dulce. She definitely was not the best tour guide . I am not sure whether this was because we were spoilt with such a great tour guide Miquel with the same tour operator the day before. She wasn’t very informative at all or held much conversation within the van about the different places we were about to visit. She was mostly on her mobile phone. With time in the van I thought it might have been useful to hear a little more information about the places we were going to visit. We were informed however, in the van that on a Sat the boys choir does not take place at Montserrat and this was something we were looking forward to see. (Be mindful of this when booking if this is something you would like to see). Dulce also left us for far too long as a group to have lunch (over 2.5 hours). It was great to get to know our group a little better but was far too long. She mentioned that many of the restaurants at Montserrat would be full around lunchtime and she booked us into a restaurant she recommended at the foot of Montserrat. However, by having lunch in this way for far too long it resulted in us arriving far too late and having very little time to access all the main mountain activities. We visited the church however we only had around 10 mins inside and we were told to take pictures of anything we didn’t understand as Dulce didn’t come in and she would discuss after. Also due to the late visit by the time we came out of the church both the funicular and also the museum were closed which left us in our own time to only visit the onsite shop and a take a few pictures of the wonderful views.
