Gorgeous Place - Great Guides & Driver! - Merak (MK) and Francesco were great guides! Super informative AND fun! Gave us some great suggestions for chocolate, cheese and honey! Plenty of time for the beauty, Black Madonna, museum, lunch, photos and shopping! My husband and I are celebrating our 25th anniversary (but we’re late 60’s and early 70’s) and it was not too difficult. We are not Catholic, but enjoyed the great beauty of everything in the Monastery. There’s also a chapel where we enjoyed talking a nice worship break - really beautiful, contemporary sculpture of Jesus ascending! Highly recommend the trip! … Don and Patsy Edwards

Perfect Half Day Trip from Barcelona - Really well organized half day trip from Barcelona! The tour leaves Barcelona at 8:30 and returns around 2:30. Our guides Francesco and MK were wonderful! They took us to the basilica and Black Madonna first, and then we had ~2 hours free time to explore Montserrat. Highly recommend the short hike up to the Sant Miguel cross.

Our tour guide was... - Our tour guide was friendly and informative. During the bus ride to the monastery and afterwards back to the ship, she mentioned buildings and areas of interest. We wanted to do the cable car but the weather was wet and foggy and we were advised that we would not get a good view from the top.. It was a beautiful Monastery. The views were astounding. The rocky hill was just amazing. The church, the statues, exhibits and buildings were fantastic. The shops offered food, drinks and souvenirs. Although there were only 37 boys, the boys choir sang beautifully for 15 minutes.

Canadians on a Honeymoon - Rocco and Adriana were amazing. They made the trip very enjoyable with lots of fun facts and tips. They also allowed for some free time to explore on our own and see the area on our own. They made sure everyone was accounted for and that the group was able to see the choir and have good seats.

The Black Madonna and Montserrat are not the typical tourist experience; just go there. - Put aside at least half a day if you’re starting from Barcelona. Yet, visiting the Black Madonna, sitting in silence in the lovely church, taking a short hike to St Michael’s cross and trying the herb liquor made by the monks should be on the to-do list of most visitors to Barcelona and especially so if this is a repeat visit to Barcelona. A description cannot convey the experience of touching the Black Madonna’s orb or the marvellous energy of this space. I’m not religious, in case you’re wondering but just as La Familia Sagrada can be appreciated in many different levels, so too can Montserrat. I will try to stay a couple of days the next time I come because there are a lot of other interesting activities including many hikes in this lovely area.

Wonderful trip - We visited Montserrat and had a great day. We met in the centre of Barcelona and our guides, Rocco & Brian were fantastic. They were both very knowledgeable and funny. They came with us for part of the tour when we arrived but then had a couple of hours to do what we wanted. Montserrat is absolutely beautiful and well worth the trip. We definitely recommend.

Montserrat 1/2 day - Nice easy day out to Montserrat, about 1 hour’s drive from Barcelona pickup point. Interesting guides, sharing information on the bus there and back, easier and more convenient than going by other means.
