Montserrat - Montserrat is a mountain top monastery situated on top of an unusual rock mountain. It is the highest point of the Catalan lowlands. Montserrat monastery hosts “la Moreneta”, also called Black Madonna. The legend says that the benedictine monks found the statue, and they could not move the statue to build their monastery, so they decided to construct it around the statue. Montserrat was designated as a National Park in 1987. Nowadays, it is a site of pilgrimage for people around the world.
Once in Montserrat, enjoy a 45-minute small group guided tour, and then you will have 2 hours to explore on your own. You can visit the Museum, taste the monastery’s homemade liquor, go for an easy walk to Saint Miguel’s cross for an incredible viewpoint, go up the Sant Joan Funicular, take wonderful pictures, buy local products from the farmer’s market, and more. - Abadia de Montserrat - The origin of the monastery is uncertain, but it is believed that the Virgin of Monsterrat (La Moreneta) was found around 880. (8.30 am and 1.30 pm tours include tickets to La Moreneta). According to the legends, the monks built the monastery around the statue. The monastery still functions to this day with over 70 monks. The basilica of Montserrat began its construction in the 16th century, and now houses an art museum. It is also the place where la Escolania, one of the oldest Boys’ Choirs in Europe, performs during religious ceremonies (you can listen to them on the 9.30 am tour).
- Bages - Once we finish our Montserrat visit, our transport will take you to a 12th century traditional farmhouse on a family-owned winery in the Bages region. Here, you will delight in a 3-course lunch featuring authentic dishes, complemented by a wine pairing menu curated by a skilled sommelier.

Good Food, Wines, & Views - The views from Montserrat were amazing, and the wines and food from the farmhouse lunch were even better! Miro was a great tour guide!

Amazing Full day Tour in Montserrat. Try and book a tour with Brian. He is the best - Me and my partner joined Brian's full day tour of Saturday, 25.01. It was an amazing experience and the highlight of our trip. The group met on the location indicated by the company at 08.30. Everyone was very punctual, and Brian met us with the biggest smile from the beginning. The driver was great, and we arrived at Montserrat on time , getting information about the location and its history in the most entertaining way. During our free time, we had the chance to visit the monastery, the Museum (impressive art collectuon worth seeing) and the local market, try the products made by the monks, do a liquor tasting, and have sweet bread made by the nuns. After that, our group took the funicular to meet again with the driver and go to a 12th century old picturesque winery. There, Brian showed us the location, explained the history of the winery, and the family that owns it, then we had lunch paired with different wines. The food and drinks were incredible, and all the locations were truly worth visiting. The day was very fun. We didn't feel rushed at all despite how many activities we engaged in and how much we felt we learned and done. The best part of the day was, of course, our tour guide, Brian. His knowledge about the place, the drinks, the food, and everything involved in the tour was impressive, and his commitment to engage and entertain the group was outstanding. His performance and attention to detail were much appreciated by the group. He made us feel comfortable and welcomed. I can not recommend this tour enough. Brian is a talented, charismatic guide that curated our day in the best way possible. Thank you for this amazing day ! I wouldn't have changed a thing.It's definitely worth the price. We'll be doing this tour again.

Unforgettable Barcelona Experience with the Best Guide! - This trip was truly exceptional, thanks to one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had. Entertaining and informative tour - Brian was our tour guide. Approachable, humorous, interesting, and absolutely fun to tour with. There’s nary a dull moment. Would love to have him as my guide for future tours. He was not just informative but presented the content in an entertaining format. The tour to Montserrat was a little rushed. There wasn’t enough time to see everything, just the monastery and one other activity. The lunch and winery visit was however well paced and leisurely. It was an efficient way to see Montserrat and have a taste of local wines and produce.

Tour of the Montserrat monastery and Cava Winery. - So much fun! Great day well worth the money! The whole day was packed with historic and prevalent information. From the Montserrat to the Cava winery. Detailing delicious wines and mouth watering authentic food. And a shout out to our wonderful guide, Valdimero!! Wow! So much information he knows his stuff! Excellent tour and wine experience! - Amazing experience! Miro was an incredible tour guide, so knowledgeable and had fun facts about every part of the world. Our driver Johnny was great and kept us and our belongings safe the entire trip. Could not ask for a better experience and the farmhouse/wine tour in the end was amazing!
