Fantastic experience at the Montserrat - The trip was great. The day started out really misty and we couldn’t see any sights, but the mist really added to the atmosphere of the monastery, which was beautiful. We were really lucky that a short downpour cleared the skies and we could see the mountains. So worth a visit. Many thanks to our guide, Juan, who was so flexible and such a fantastic planner that he amended our itinerary slightly (changed the order of our sights) which allowed us an amazing view of the montserrat up top. Juan was also incredibly knowledgeable about geography and Catalan history which was prevalent all around the monastery. 10/10

Mystic Catalunya - Enjoyed this outing with Frank (Francesco) and Andreas. They were flexible about each individual’s ability to hike various distances and worked well together. The information they imparted was good and the Abbey and surrounds are absolutely stunning. Meeting, pick up and drop off were all done professionally and with aplomb. Strongly recommended.

A Great Intro to Catalonia for Active Travelers! - Tour guide Jordi was superb. Very knowledgeable and engaging, adding much during both the drives and the time out of the bus. Very well organized tour and lots to see in the allotted time. The hikes are beautiful.

Pretty hard hike down the mountain - Frank was our tour guide. We met him in Passeig de Gràcia. There were on 6 others on this tour. We traveled an hour to the mountain. We heard of the history first then we toured the grounds and went into the Basilica. We then headed to the funicular and went up to the top, but you could walk up too on a paved path. We looked around up top and when we met the rest our party who walked up we made our way down the mountain and we hiked. It was a pretty hard hike down for my age, but not for the young. This hike down has liads of stairs. It was a wonderful tour. Thank you Frank.

Beautiful hike - Wonderful tour and tour guides. We enjoyed smelling the rosemary and thyme on the way down and seeing rock climbers on the rock that looks like an elephant.

One of the best experiences from our trip - This was one of the best tours I booked during our trip to Barcelona. Juan Velez’s warmth, pacing, and extensive knowledge of the mountains came as a fantastic breath of fresh air. He clearly loves what he does and his approach brought out the best in everyone. Juan safely drove us to the monastery while describing interesting places we passed along the way. He adapted the experience to match the weather, and we hiked first to avoid the rain. The physical exertion was easy and we enjoyed seeing the mountains, learning about the plants & surroundings. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide! Juan’s pacing & energy was well balanced & responsive to our group. Much respect!

Really good guided walk - The minibus was very prompt. Frank and Giordie (sorry for spelling) were very friendly as were the other people in our group. There were two different groups which were split differently between the bus ride and the actual walk. One route was up the funicular and down the "gentle" slope. The other was up the gentle slope and down the steep route. It was possible to switch while back at the start but not later. There wasn't so much flexibility for us really when on the walk. I was looking the off-piste chapels and vantage points, wanting to explore but it would have meant leaving the group and guide and buying an additional ticket down on the funicular. The pace was calibrated to the slowest walker. Overall, well pitched and we really enjoyed it. Views were fantastic. There is a "tower" cultuiral experience back at the monastery which perhaps drove the pace, though we missed it anyway. To improve, I'd suggest extending the walk by an hour and giving more opportunity/options to explore.
