Fantastic Experience! - We had an amazing day hiking Montserrat with Vladi! We started the day with Vladi picking us up from our hotel, then visiting the Basilica and the Black Madonna, next took the funicular up to start our hike. Vladi is an expert in the trails, flora, history and importance of Montserrat. We reached a peak with a 360 degree spectacular view. We enjoyed a picnic Vladi had brought. There was enough time to explore the market with handmade food items. We were returned back to our hotel. This experience was worth every penny, and o highly recommend to anyone!

Must-do Monserrat Hike - We did the moderate hike and it was perfect. Lots of different terrain, different types of paths and stairs… We started from monastery and did a loop to the top and back. Uphill was mainly trails and rock paths to the top and the descent was mostly stairs for the way we went. David, our guide, was amazing. Very knowledgeable and engaging, and allowed us to move at the pace we needed ( 3 teenagers leading the pack and us trailing behind). He gave us lots of interesting information about the history, geography and ecology of the area. At the top, we were provided with a light snack and lots of water to replenish our bottles. Hike took our family about 2.5 hours to complete but we were going a pretty quick pace with our teens.
I would highly recommend this for active families. Such a great adventure!

Montserrat Hiking Adventure - Our tour guide (Valdi Ribo) was incredible! He is passionate about hiking and extremely fit. He led us on a hike at Monserrat up Sant Jeroni. He was very knowledgable about the history of the monastery and area. We hope to return some day for him to guide us through a hike in the Pyrenees!

Don’t miss Monserrat hiking tour with Pere - All the tour was spectacular, full of amazing views. Our guide Pere was very professional, experienced and initiative. He gave us a lot of information, did an express guiding in the museum (although it was not in a program).

Great day hiking at Montserrat! - Pere is a great mountain guide and led us on a wonderful hike to a view point, but even more wonderfully through the mountains and forests of Montserrat Natural Park. The scenery is just spectacular. These mountains are steep, but Pere will give you multiple options with varying levels of challenge and will talk you through which one is best for you/ your group. Pere is friendly and informative and even walked through the art museum near the monastery with us before we headed back to Barcelona. And he also took photos of us throughout the day. So lovely! We really had a wonderful day. Definitely worth it to book with him and learn from his expertise of the area. Thank you so much Pere!

Don’t miss this hike!! Book it now! - I cannot say enough good things about this hike. Well worth the money. I’ve paid more for this kind of outing and gotten less. Our guide was phenomenal. He considered our pace. He took us all over the mountain. He took pictures of us at many of the lookouts! He also mentioned that he does hikes in the Pyrenees. If I come back to Barcelona, I’ll definitely book a tour with him again.

There are lots of stairs!!! - Montserrat was beautiful and the hike was really nice. Beware of the words "moderate" - while most frequent hikers would agree that this was a moderate hike, those that don't hike often may struggle. There are a LOT of stairs - which can be more difficult than flat inclines. Our guide Pere was very knowledgeable and was able to adjust our hike mid hike to better suite some of the groups needs.

A fabulous day out - We loved our Montserrat hike. The scenery is truly spectacular, better than we expected. Our guide Pere was fantastic. He was personable and so knowledgeable on a range of subjects including geology, geography, flora and fauna,local legends, and the history of the region. He took lots of great photos of us and gave us yummy snacks. We chose the 4 hour hike to the summit and back. It was well worth it. The track is well formed and easy to follow. The steep bits all have stairs.
