- Oller del Mas - Nestled within a 10th-century castle, Oller del Mas is an extraordinary winery known for its outstanding ecological wines, which have received numerous accolades in recent years. Notably, one of its wines was awarded the “Best Wine in Catalonia” in 2018. However, the cellar’s charm extends beyond its wines. Enjoy a walk through the vineyards, learn about the winemaking process, and uncover its many secrets. The winery has revived ancient local grape varieties, offering a unique insight into the region’s heritage. We collaborate daily with various low-production, family-owned boutique wineries. For logistical reasons, you may visit a different cellar instead of Oller del Mas.

If you really want to get to know Barcelona and Catalonia, a visit to Montserrat is a must. This day tour combines a visit to this magical site with a wonderful food and wine experience. Ride a cogwheel train to the top of Montserrat Mountain while admiring its spectacular views. Explore a winery set in a 10th-century castle owned by the same family for 36 generations. Tasting top-quality wines and enjoying local gastronomy will be highlights of your trip.
- Tours start at 9:45 a.m. Please arrive 20 minutes before the start time because check-in is required at our office before proceeding to the buses area.
- Groups are limited to 20 people per guide, though in rare cases may increase to 22. Transportation is shared with other groups.
- Comfortable clothes and walking shoes are recommended. Montserrat and the winery may have more extreme temperatures than Barcelona—check the forecast and dress accordingly. Bring water, especially in summer.
- The tour is not wheelchair accessible, but service animals are allowed. For reduced mobility, contact us before booking to discuss arrangements.
- Infants (3 years or younger) join free of charge but are not provided with car seats or meals.
- Dietary restrictions or allergies are accommodated without advance notice.
- We often work with boutique, family-owned wineries. Due to logistics, the winery may vary from Oller del Mas.
- Tour timings are approximate and may vary due to traffic, weather, or unforeseen events. We recommend avoiding scheduling other activities immediately after the tour to allow for potential delays.
- We follow all health and safety guidelines issued by authorities to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.

Entertaining and Fascinating Insight - A truly memorable trip to Montserrat & Oller del Mas. We were greeted individually on arrival by Vincente at BCN Nord and then met with Sofia. Vincente was the accompanying guide on the coach to Montserrat, he was very enjoyable and interesting to listen to. You can’t fall asleep when your guide is entertaining and interesting. On arrival at Montserrat we were in Sofia’s capable hands, her knowledge and the way she imparted this to our group was very professional and interesting. There was much to see and do at Montserrat and we had a good balance of walking tour and free time to hike to the area where the Black Madonna was found, the chapel and the Crucifix on the rocky outcrop. Thanks for this option! The winery was also very worthwhile, particularly given Sofia’s in depth knowledge of the complicated process of wine production and grape selection. Sofia is truly a font of knowledge and a credit to your company. She made our day excursion a special and memorable one. One suggestion… give an option to have more wine in the glass for say an extra €10->€15. The tasting samples were tiny.

Yerai was great! - We did the longer lunch option and it was definitely worth it! You get to see an old castle from the time of the Moorish conflicts. We got to go inside and have a wine tasting inside the castle and learn about its history. I definitely recommend trying the orange wine.

Great experience - The experience was amazing, the guide- Judith - did a fantastic job and the experience was unique because the place and local people.
I did not like that I thought I had booked the wine and tapas and had to pay extra on the site, the app should had show me options or some way to pick the right choice.

Montserrat Was Time Well Spent. - Laia was fun and knowledgeable .Joe the bus driver did an excellent job on mountainous, narrow roads. Restaurants and shops were at Montserrat also.

Perfect Day Trip! - Thais was awesome! Really enjoyed our tour with Thais, she was informative, witty and FUN. We learned so much about Montserrat, Catalonia, and wine!! Highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to find the perfect day trip that combines beautiful vistas, spirituality, and wine! Gracias Thais!!

Best Tour Guide ever!! Thais!!! - The tour was wonderful but our tour guide, Thais was phenomenal. What a great guide. She was informative and entertaining. I would book a tour with her again. Monserrat was incredible.

Dissapointed - Very disappointing. Went up on a Saturday and due to an event the Basilica was closed until 1:30 so instead of 1 hr of free time we were told to return in 2. Well when we did the Mass was going longer than expected so we waited until 2:10 then forced to leave without entering . Then waited on the bus 15-20 minutes for ONE couple, who I found out later went into the Basilica while the rest waited on them. I find it hard to believe this tour company didn’t know about the special event occurring.
