Fun exploring! - Everything was provided, the guide was really patient and helpful and we had plenty of time to snorkel and swim! Lunch itself was filling, we were provided a large sandwich and the bus ride there and back was smooth and made the whole day very simple!

An enjoyable day in the water - Mark was adequate as a guide, but the experience could have been enriched had he used the 2.5-hour bus ride to share more about himself, Costa Brava, or Spanish culture. While he greeted us and provided instructions, he didn’t engage much with the group, which gave the impression that he wasn’t particularly enthusiastic about being there. Upon arrival, we were introduced to the kayak and snorkelling instructors. The beach is quite pebbly, so swim shoes are highly recommended. If you don’t have any, they’re available for purchase onsite (12 euros for swim shoes, 10 euros for waterproof phone cases). The activity itself included kayaking, snorkelling, and a second kayaking leg to a spot where you could snorkel and cliff jump. Unfortunately, the snorkelling sites were underwhelming—lacking vibrant marine life and mostly grey in appearance. That said, the instructors were helpful and attentive, especially when assisting those whose kayaks had flipped. The picnic lunch was basic: a large sub sandwich with minimal meat, lettuce, tomato, and a bottle of water.

Great guides, but room for improvement in the organization - The journey from Barcelona takes about 1.5 hours. A “picnic” is a topped baguette with tomato and sausage that you then have to eat standing or sitting somewhere – unfortunately, there are no seats or shades. The guides themselves are really great: very warm, helpful and dedicated. However, the organisation as a whole could be improved.
