- Artcava - The tour begins with a visit to Artcava Winery, a charming winery situated in an old Catalan farmhouse. Participants will learn about the production of cava in Penedés and have the opportunity to taste three of their main wines and cavas.
- Giro del Gorner - The second stop is just five minutes from the first winery. Here, visitors will explore a 500-year-old cellar, owned by a brother and sister from the same family since the 1800s.
Guests will enjoy a wine pairing featuring three different cavas and still wines, along with local food, in the beautiful garden overlooking the vineyards. The lunch includes local delicacies such as Spanish omelette, Catalan bread with tomato, virgin olive oil, local cheese, and cold meats.

Vins El Cep - Vins el Cep is a stunning winery nestled in nature, offering a serene setting for a relaxing cava tasting. Here, participants will taste a Pet-nat and a Cava Gran Reserva.

Phenomenal, personalized experience - I learned so much from Joan about the region and about the production of Cava. Truly the best wine tour I’ve done so far! The tours and tastings were excellent, and the lunch was divine. Joan also can give you several INCREDIBLE restaurant recommendations.

Fantastic wine tour in the Penedés area - This was an amazing tour. Ivan was knowledgeable, cordial, and the wineries were perfect. We even experienced a little of the local culture.

A must do when visiting Barcelona - Joan was an absolute amazing host! I could not have asked for a better guide and teacher. His passion for his local community and knowledge of wine was evident throughout our tour. I would recommend this tour to everyone that plans to visit Barcelona.

A great day in the Penedes! - We had a great day tasting cava and different wines of the area. Our guide, Joan, was the best! He was knowledgeable, thoughtful, and very informative. We stopped at three different wineries and had a unique experience at each. The representatives from each winery were very passionate and were excited to share their product with us. We tried many glasses of wine and were served lunch. Our group was the perfect size; only 4 people total. Would do this tour all over again if given the chance!

Don’t miss this Cava/Wine Tour! - This was one of the best tours I have taken and we travel 3-4 months a year and take many day tours (especially to wine countries). The guide, Joan, was amazing - extremely knowledgeable (and should be a model for all wine tours, where the guide is a Som), not only about the wine district but also its history.
Loved the small vineyards, their staff and the wines we tasted. A perfect day!

Fantastic Taste of Cava - Joan was an excellent guide that provided us with extensive information about Barcelona and Penedes. All three of the vineyards we visited were fantastic. Not only were the wines great but the staff was very welcoming. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great wine tasting experience.

Second Tour with Ivan - This was my second tour with Ivan. After seeing Priorat with him in June I was back in Barcelona in December and wanted to see Penedes. As this was a private tour/solo we planned to hit 2 wineries. El Cep and Giro Del Gorner (including lunch here). Some friends had mentioned another cava house and Ivan was kind enough to swing by there, but they were closed (I guess due to being offseason).
The tour at El Cep was interesting with beautiful vineyards and interesting and historical winery buildings. Very much enjoyed the tasty lunch at Giro Del Gorner.
The wines were all very approachable. I am not a huge fan of sparkling wines, so was mostly focusing on the still wines and looking to buy ones that are not distributed in the USA.
FILLED my wine suitcase and came home happy.
Book with confidence. He knows his stuff and he will get you to family owned boutique producers that are focused on quality.
If you are American and have spent time in Napa you will quickly recognize the amazing value of this tour and the wines.

Great day exploring Cava and the Pennedes region - Ivan picked us up promptly and we headed out of Barcelona to the Pennedes region. He shared some history of the landscape and area as we passed by. We went to three very small Cava producers and learned about their process and production. It was very interesting and great to hear their stories. We had a lovely lunch during the second stop. Highly recommend spending the day with Ivan and this tour.

Cava winery tour - This was an incredible wine tour. Ivan was both personable as well as very knowledgeable about wine and the region, The three winery stops were all excellent selections and the order was well thought out. The tour could not have been any better.
