- Los Encantes Barcelona - We often stop off at this charming old flea market and shop for kitsch souvenirs, or stop for a snack. The entire area has been revitalised in recent years.
- El Poblenou - This former industrial district is full of treasures, such as modern parks, neoclassical cemeteries, street art, superblocks, and dazzling new architectural projects. Its quieter than the centre and ideal for cycling around.
- Port Olimpic - Built for the 1992 Olympic Games this shining white marina transformed Barcelona’s coast and is full of bars, clubs and modern sculptures… like Frank Gehry’s golden fish.
- Playa de La Barceloneta - No cycle ride in Barcelona is complete without a ride along the beach. We normally reserve this route for the way home, enjoying the sun on our faces and the carnival atmosphere of this crazy playa.

The hidden wonders of Barcelona. - Just wanted to say a few words about the "Steel Donkey Off The Beaten Track Tour." The title is appropriate, as we experienced a bike ride that felt like one a native might take if out for a leisurely spin. We moved pretty quickly, but stopped often for historical insights from our excellent guide, Augustin. In short order we circled or passed through: the Olympic Village; Barcelona Beach; the Gracia neighborhood; the zoo; Pomblenou; and a beautiful park with fountain whose name I've forgotten. During a short break, we sampled chocolate croissants from Hoffman's (at Augustin's suggestion) and they were awesome. We did the early (10 a.m.) tour which I would recommend, especially in the warmer months. I'm 72 and found the pace to be brisk, but comfortable. I was able to keep up easily and was pleasantly tired and ready for a cerveza fria at the end of our journey. All in all a fun and interesting day trip!

Highly recommend this Barcelona bike tour! - My husband and I recently did a Barcelona bike tour with Steel Donkey and it was fantastic! We started the ride along the beach and then rode through Ciutadella Park, the Gothic Quarter, and El Born neighborhood. It was such a great way to see a lot of the city in a short period of time and it was so fun to ride through the narrow medieval alleyways. Our guide Bella was very knowledgeable and was a lot of fun to spend the afternoon with. We highly recommend this bike tour company for anyone visiting Barcelona!

Truly an off beaten track experience - In the rain, 6 riders started out with our guide Ali. After a couple of miles 3 riders did not want to continue due to the rain and quit. the rain stopped soon after we restarted and we had a wonderful experience visiting many places. Our guide Ali took us through some little traveled streets. The only downside was trying to ride around people in the crowded spots.

Bike tour to help with jet lag - We opted to do this tour the day we landed. We have found staying active upon arrive from the US East Coast to Europe is the best way to acclimate. We were a small group so our guide asked us if we would like to do a little extra distance. We were game and glad the we did.
Our guide was awesome. So passionate about Barcelona and Catalonia. She has amazing local knowledge and it was the perfect way to start our trip.
I would do the tour again the next time we visit

Totally recommend! - I went on 3 bike tours during this trip and this one was hands down the best! Great planning, lots of information about Barcelona and Spain, tips on things to see and places to eat at and extremely friendly and knowledgeable guide! 4 hours include the stops, so biking itself is very easy if you bike leisurely at home

Would highly recommend Alex - Today Alex patiently guided a group of 6 of us around the highlights of Barcelona. 3 of us were very inexperienced cyclists but she managed it such that we had a great laugh and learned lots about the history of this beautiful city. We stopped en route for tapas which was wonderful . Thank You Alex

Fantastic private tour on e-bikes - We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 hour tour with a fantastic guide, Augustin. We started at 10am which made for smaller crowds along the boardwalk and along the city streets. Augustin was kind and knowledgeable in many realms as we explored on good quality e-bikes. Doing a private tour for 2 people allowed plenty of discussion about the city, the sites, the culture, and the daily life of a local resident.

Amazing tour - We loved the tour. It was a perfect mix of biking through beautiful neighborhoods and stopping to hear the history that we and our 12 and 8 year old boys really enjoyed. Our guide Elisa was amazing - very knowledgeable, warm and managed our group very well.

Fun Bike Tour - Nice ride along the ocean and into the city. Great views! Nice ride in park and to to the fountain. It was just two of us with the guide and we did go places that we hadn't seen in the 2 days of prior sightseeing. A fun morning!
