Highlights
  • Duck Brook Bridge - Your tour will begin at Hull’s Cove Visitor Center, where you will climb up Paradise Hill to enjoy a stunning view of Bar Harbor, Porcupine Island, and Frenchman’s Bay. Next, you will proceed towards the east end of Witch Hole Pond, until you reach Duck Brook Bridge. This section of the Carriage Roads spans over 2.5 miles, and there is a restroom available at this location.
  • Eagle Lake Acadia National Park - Once we pass the Duck Brook Bridge, our tour operator usually takes a break at a beaver pond where we can observe a large community of the rodents actively working on their house and dam. After that, we continue our journey towards Eagle Lake, where we head down the west side of the lake. The distance between Duck Brook bridge and the south end of Eagle Lake is 4 miles.
  • Jordan Pond - After passing Eagle Lake, you will soon reach the west side of Jordan Pond, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Penobscot and Pemetic mountains. During the tour, you will stop to see the West Branch Jordan Stream Bridge, Cliffside Bridge and the Amphitheater Bridge. At the southern end of the pond, you will have a chance to take a 20-minute break at Jordan Pond House or, if you prefer, use the time to ride on a short loop down to the Cobblestone Bridge. This section of the ride covers a distance of 6 miles.
  • Jordan Pond House Restaurant - There is no admission fee, and visitors can stay for about 15 minutes. While there won’t be enough time to dine, there is a quick grab-and-go food service, a gift shop, and restrooms available.
  • Bubble Pond - After leaving Jordan Pond House, you will need to ride an ebike for 5 miles on the Carriage Roads until you reach the north end of Bubble Pond. This particular section of the trail is very serene and picturesque, with dense forests, streams, and ponds. There is a restroom available at this location.
  • Hulls Cove Visitor Center - The last part of the ebike adventure through Acadia National Park Carriage Roads is around 5 miles long. When you leave Bubble Pond, you’ll head up to the east side of Eagle Lake, where you can enjoy some afternoon sun. You’ll then ride along Breakneck Pond and the west side of Witch Hole Pond, before finally descending from the Carriage Roads and returning to your starting point.

Best guided e-bike tour - Even with the rain, this was a great bike ride. Marty is a very knowledgeable tour guide and kept a great pace with a wide range of ages in our group.

Great way to see the park! - We loved our guided E bike tour on the carriage. Roads in Acadia national Park! Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and fun. We saw many things that we would not have been able to see on our own and got a history of the area. What highly recommend this as a fun day trip.

It is well worth the price to have a professional tour guide on an E-bike. - Our family experience with Island Time E-bike and Marty as our tour guide was spectacular. She is highly knowledgeable about Acadia National Park, admiringly patient, and exceptionally enjoyable. As a family, we all agree that the e-bike tour with Marty was a 5 out of 5!

Amazing Time in Acadia National Park - Had a fabulous time riding E-bikes for the 20 mile route. Our guide Thomas was terrific. We stopped at various points of interest as he explained the flora and fauna in the area as well as the history. The pedal assist was very intuitive. We had a brief lunch stop at Jordan’s Pond. Finished the day with plenty of battery left in the bike. Even though it was cloudy, it was my favorite activity of our trip. Thank you Thomas for making it so memorable.

Carriage Road Biking - What a great way to see the “backroads” of the park! We are bicyclists, but have never tried e-bikes. We were well-matched to our bikes and they handled very well. Our guide was extremely personable, passionate about the park and knowledgeable. We learned so much! We were fortunate enough to only have four in our group so we had plenty of opportunity for questions and learning. We would highly recommend this excursion to anyone who enjoys nature and biking. Exploring on our own (with traditional bikes) would have limited the areas we could ride, but the e-bikes opened up so much more of the park to us!

Perfect way to see Acadia. Reliable and responsive company - The easy to use e-bikes made the carriage roads accessible. Without the guide, I would have missed the best sights. Really easy low stress bike pick up and drop off. Perfect all round!
