Additional Information

Join us on our spectral journey where you will traverse the misty seashore path, potentially encountering a phantasm or even a mythical sea creature. You will gain insights into the puzzling past events of the locality and deepen your understanding of the paranormal by studying the three primary classifications of apparitions: residual appearances, cogent hauntings, and mischievous spirits. The odd narratives encompass the unusual occurrences at otherwise lavish accommodations such as the Balance Rock Inn, the notable Bar Harbor Club, and numerous other eerie sites in the city.

Lauded author Marcus LiBrizzi, known for his works Ghosts of Acadia and Haunted Islands in the Gulf of Maine – a duo of definitive compilations on Maine’s spectral legends, labels our tour as ‘an unforgettable journey into the sinister and haunted corners of Bar Harbor.’ Come and experience the thrills firsthand.

A Haunting in Bar Harbor - The quiet confidence with which Doug shared carefully crafted tales of the supernatural was a trip highlight for sure. The graveyard portion of the tour was of particular interest, as was the section reserved for audience participation.

Local ghostly events - Wonderful and interesting story telling interwoven with facts about the town and area. Doug was all around interesting; for looking like the painter Bob Ross to his knowledge of local historic events.

Spooky walk in Bar Harbor - It was foggy during the walk which added to the wonderful haunted talks. We enjoyed hearing about the history.

Fun! - As someone who loves history, I LOVED this tour. It was just enough of the history mixed with ghost stories, oral histories and lived tales, and it was all super fun. The famed "woman in white" was engaging and she rolled with the punches of the evening. It was overall a good time and a nice way to better acquaint yourself with Maine's history.

Interesting & Fun Ghost Tour - My grandson and I were recently in Bar Harbor and decided to do this ghost walk. The confirmation I got said to meet at Agamont Park. It took us a bit to find the tour leader. He was very nice, but he would go off on irrelevant tangents. We did enjoy some of his stories, and it was fun to hear about his own haunted house. The walk isn't terribly long, and I did appreciate being able to sit down when the leader was talking.

Great historical information - My wife and I found it to be very informational with the historic facts and stories of the area. Didn't find it to be too "ghost' but overall good experience. My one criticism is the guide needs to speak up a little and project more in the more noisy areas.

Hard to Hear - The tour was disappointing because it was very difficult to hear the tour guide. There was noise from the ocean at some stops and traffic noise at other stops. Would highly recommend giving the narrator a microphone.

Something to do. - It was okay. It’s not a huge investment for the quality of the tour. No spooky facts or anything significant. The tour had more historical facts. The guide did a good job. The evening scenery was beautiful.

Do not take this tour - The tour guide had memorized a few stories, which she recited, but there was nothing if real interest. I also feared for my safety - The paths are dark, the tour guide took off at a blistering pace so we had to run to keep up. Worst tour I've ever taken.
