- The Great Wall of Gubeikou - As the first light of dawn breaks over the mountains, the golden Great Wall emerges through the clouds and mist. The beacon towers of Gubeikou quietly tell tales of the past, while the ridges of Jinshanling stretch towards the heavens. Visitors can climb the steps, feeling the crunch of autumn leaves underfoot, as the pine trees whisper in the breeze. Observe the handprints on the bricks mingling with wild grass, reflecting on the depth of civilization and the expanse of nature. The guide will collect guests around 10:00 AM for a roughly 2.5-hour drive to the Gubeikou Great Wall. From there, it’s a 2-hour walk from the parking area to the 24-window Tower, followed by a descent into the valley. Travelers will cross a cornfield, hike uphill, and walk along the wall. After about an hour and a half, they will reach the Jinshanling Great Wall, where they can leisurely stroll and enjoy the sunset. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant before returning to the hotel.
