Unforgettable Sunrise Trek to Mount Batur with Guide Gunawan - I was lucky to meet a local guide named Gunawan. He is older, warm-hearted, and very experienced. Always approachable, he shared stories and exchanged conversations with me along the trek to the summit of Mount Batur. Beyond the new things I learned from him, he is also humorous and fun-loving. The trek felt much less tiring with him around. He prepared a thoughtful breakfast, arranged a perfect spot to sit, took photos, and guided me on how to pose in the most beautiful way with the scenery. If you choose this tour, I recommend asking the admin to have him as your guide—your journey to the summit will be so much more enjoyable.
As for Mount Batur itself, it was even more amazing than I had imagined. It was cold before the sun rose, but as the sun and dawn slowly emerged, the layers of red light intertwined with other colors, highlighting the majestic beauty of the view. From the summit, you can see Mount Abang and Mount Agung. Savoring the grandeur of nature, sipping a cup of hot chocolate, and enjoying breakfast as the sun rises is an unmissable experience when visiting Bali.

Mt Batur Sunrise. FB @GoUrOwnWay for images - We booked this tour after checking reviews and found it was amazing!
Ketut our guide assisted us greatly in reaching the sunrise spot, provided a great breakfast and then took us to the best vantage points for photos!!
He was also an excellent photographer giving us some images and video that we will cherish forever.
This was an amazing morning!!!!

Best guide - The whole experience was amazing! We got picked up on time by a very friendly driver, we then got coffee and tea before starting our hike by our guide. Our guides name was Gunawan and he was amazing. During the hike he was friendly, funny, tailored the hike to our level and needs, and was very caring. Then when we got to the top of the mountain he made breakfast for us, showed us around, explained what everything was, took lots of pictures of us. The whole day was filled with laughter and there wasn’t a single boring moment. After the hike we went to a coffee plantation where we got to see the roasting process of coffee beans, and tasted many good coffees and teas. Would recommend this experience and especially going with Gunawan, it would not have been the same without him!

Tracking on Batur. - Neat driver, English-language guide and easy trekking. From Seminyak they picked up from the hotel and drove in 2 hours, climbing less than 2 hours. A snack upstairs. Dawn is included in the program.

Unforgettable - We were driven by Dekwan, a great driver. For the Mount Batur guide, ask for Gunawan. He gave us an exceptional experience. The landscape and the sunrise are incredible. Gunawan is very kind, caring, and very funny. It was a wonderful encounter. Thank you for everything.

Putu was amazing! - Amazing hike up Mount Batur for sunrise. Our guide Putu was really great at pointing things out along the way to tell us about the other mountain peaks / volcanoes and history of eruptions. He was always making sure we felt good on our hike and had everything we needed and took great photos for us. The breakfast at the top was simple but very tasty. I especially wanted to thank him for helping my wife back down when it was very slippy. He held her hand and reassured her every step. We would highly recommend him and the experience.

All the efforts worth it! - Very well organised, from the pick-up to the breakfast at the top. Very friendly, kind and knowledgeable driver (Dekwan) and guide (Riki). Was an amazing but challenging hike for a stunning sunrise over the surroundings (Mount Aging, Lake Batur and Mount Rijiani / Lombok in the back). Too bad some lazy tourists take a lift almost to the top with loud and stinky jeeps and motorcycles!
