The image hall (wihan) houses a unique reclining Buddha Image carved from granite, approximately 2 meters long. Interestingly, while most reclining Buddha images lie on one side, the Buddha image here lies supine (in Thai, “Non”), giving the temple its name.
- Wat Phra Loi - · Wat Phra Loi is a revered Buddhist temple in Suphanburi, as it houses a Buddha image, Phra Phutthanawaramonghjorn, which legend says floated down the Tha Chin River and washed ashore here. A temple was built to honor and house it.
Phra Phutthanawatmongkhon is depicted seated under a Naga, a mythical serpent, whose hood covers and protects the Buddha.
There is a large pond in front of the temple where thousands of carp reside.
