This museum offers an emotional and informative journey into the history of the Death Railway. You’ll learn about the hardships faced by the prisoners of war who were forced to build the railway during the Japanese occupation. The exhibits, filled with photographs, artifacts, and personal stories, provide a profound understanding of this dark period in history.
- Kanchanaburi War Cemetery - Next, visit the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery on Sangchuto Road, the final resting place of thousands of Allied soldiers who died during the construction of the Burma Railway. As you walk among the rows of neatly arranged gravestones, you’ll have a chance to reflect on the sacrifices made by these soldiers and honor their memory in this peaceful and serene environment.
- River Kwai Bridge - After the war cemetery, the tour continues to the River Kwai, one of the most iconic historical sites in Thailand. Here, you’ll visit the famous Bridge over the River Kwai, a symbol of both human suffering and survival during World War II. Take your time to explore the bridge, capture photographs, and learn more about its significance in the construction of the Death Railway.
- Burma-Thai Railway - Next, take a train ride on the historical Death Railway, which was once built by allied Prisoners of War and runs partly parallel to the River Kwai and through dense jungle. At approximately 07:00 pm, you’ll arrive back at your hotel in the Bangkok city area where the tour will end.
- Erawan Waterfalls - You’ll be ready for some exercise, so we’ll take you into the Erawan National Park for a trek through the jungle to the beautiful terraced Erawan waterfalls. You’ll have time to relax with a swim here or just a paddle if you prefer. (Please take your swimming dress if you want to swim).

Great Guide and Driver. Activites not entirely as expected. - I am giving this trip 5 Stars based on the excellent work by our guide Watchira Tapaoloy and our driver. He was very informative and congenial. The vehicle was clean and comfortable.
The trip, unfortunately, was not as described in on the Tripadvisor site in several ways. The trip to the Erawan Falls was beautiful and the Thai lunch was tasty. We had to cut our trek up the falls a bit short due to time constraints as we were concerned about completing the tour in the 12 hours described in the summary. It is a long drive from Bangkok to the Falls, and the traffic congestion in Bangkok (particularly in the 6-9 AM and the 4-8 PM time periods) is absolutely horrid. We had dinner reservations in Bangkok at 8:30 that evening and we did not even reach our hotel by that time. I believe that describing this trip as 12 hours, even on a weekend day, is a stretch. On a weekday, it should be described as 14 - 15 hours. Our driver was very patient and got us through as effectively as possible, but it was not a pleasant experience.
The trip description included a ride on the Death Railway, and while we did stop at the River Kwai Bridge and look around, we were told that a ride on the train was not part of the trip. We had been looking forward to that ride. If that aspect is not included, it should be removed from the description and/or offered as an option.
The bamboo raft trip was pleasant but brief. The trip description indicated that swimming from the raft was possible, but we were not offered the chance to swim.
Had we known the length of time we were to be on the road, we would probably have selected a tour closer to Bangkok.

Incredible experience and excellent guide! - Siri was an amazing and very informative guide. Straight away she made me feel comfortable and I her company was fantastic! She took so many amazing photos during the day which will be fantastic memories - having a private guide is well worth it just for that alone! Erawan Waterfalls is absolutely stunning, we were lucky to be there after plenty of rainfall so the waterfalls were flowing. We then went Bamboo Rafting which was very different but relaxing! Then onto Death Railway and the Bridge over River Kwai, touristy but not to be missed! 5* Tour and 100% recommend to anyone!

Relaxed and cared for - Wonderful trip - a lot packed in to one day. My hosts were both very attentive to my needs and very friendly. They pointed out local attractions and also let me have some time to wander around by myself. Wonderful day full of lovely memories.

Good to visit - The tour is so much different to the sightseeing in Bangkok and it is very enjoyable. My tour guide was great and she was very kind and knowledgeable. I enjoyed very much the nature and the different sights, however, you need to be aware that it takes some time to reach these locations and that a lot of the time is spent in a car. However, the car ride also gives you the opportunity to observe the culture, people and nature. The guide was more than willing to stop if she felt like it would an additional "nice" to see.
