Arrive at Kanchanaburi War Cemetery. This is the primary prisoner of war cemetery for those who suffered under Japanese imprisonment during the construction of the Burma Railway. It is located on Saeng Chuto Road, the main road through Kanchanaburi, Thailand, next to an older Chinese cemetery. - JEATH War Museum - 11:00 am Visit the JEATH War Museum, designed to resemble a World War II prisoner-of-war camp. River Kwai - At 12:00, visit the Bridge over the River Kwai.
The Bridge of the River Kwai Memorial Week takes place from late November to early December each year, featuring exhibitions on World War II and the bridge’s history and archaeology. The event includes folk performances, local goods markets, and other entertainment. Nearby is Don Rak or Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, another significant World War II site where the remains of prisoners of war who died during the railway’s construction are buried.

Originally known as the Thailand-Burma Railway, it was nicknamed the “Death Railway” due to the over one hundred thousand laborers who perished during its 16-month construction from 1942 to 1943.
At 15:00, visit Tham Krasae Cave. This cave was once a resting place for POWs as it is located right next to the Death Railway. It is now a popular spot for visitors who walk along the railway and stop to pray at the Buddha image enshrined within the cave.
