Good tour with an excellent guide! - Super nice tour with a very friendly young host that spoke excellent English. The food was overall good and the closing tea at the boulevard was great.

Delicious and fun group tour in Baku! - We connected with Baku tours to arrange a custom tour for a group of international scientists at a conference in Baku. Etjal and team helped us to come up with a fabulous evening trying the foods of Baku! They arranged transportation, a cooking demonstration, dinner, entertainment, and a tea ceremony at multiple locations within our budget. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience and set the perfect note for a great week in Baku! Shoutout to Heydar for being a great tour guide!

Soo much to taste in Azerbaijan! - This tour really let's you experience the taste of Azerbaijan. We went to 3 different places: in the first we tasted various flavors of qutab, in the second we got overwhelmed with all the other potential dishes and drinks you can order from the Azerbaijan kitchen and finally we set down for black tea and white cherry and walnut jam. Delicious! You definitely need to experience this tour to try it all and understand what flavors you like and which are less of your taste. Our favorite: the compot drink!

Dadli! (Tasty! In Azerbaijani) - We really enjoyed this food tour. Our guide was Shaheen and he was definitely willing to talk about Azerbaijani cuisine and any other topics that came up. Our first stop was a qutab place in old town. We got to see the qutab being prepared and tried 3 types, meat, cheese, and greens. They were all delicious but the greens was our favorite. We also tried an Azerbaijani yogurt drink that we enjoyed. Next we went to a restaurant near the fountains square where we ate outside. The restaurant has a large menu but the tour company narrowed down the choices and Shaheen recommended some of his favorites. We tried the pickles, a cold yogurt soup with dill and cucumber, the grape leave dolma stuffed with meat and rice, and the sabzi plov with lamb and greens. Again, all were quite delicious but our favorite was the sabzi plov. Our last stop was a tea shop on the boulevard along the Caspian sea. We had traditional tea with quince and feijoa jams. This was a solid way to end the tour. Overall, this tour was good value for the money but be prepared for it to last longer than listed. If you want to learn about and try some tasty Azerbaijani food, I highly recommend this tour.

Dinner with a local - Had a private “tour” with Shahin. This is more dinner in a restaurant and tea in a cafe than a typical food tour. But a great chance to get to know more about Azerbaijan- and the food was good!
