Mud Volcanoes - Mud Volcanoes.
Mud volcanoes emerged in the present-day Azerbaijan Republic 25 million years ago. Azerbaijan currently holds the world record for the number of mud volcanoes, with 350 out of the world’s 800 located in the country. The eruptions provide raw materials for the chemical and construction industries, as well as pharmacology. Additionally, volcanic clay and mud are now used to treat nervous system, skin, and rheumatic diseases.
Our guide will take you to active mud volcanoes, where you can climb and closely observe the craters.
At the end of the tour, you will be dropped off at the city center (Fountain Square).
