One great day around Baku! - This was an excellent trip and a fantastic way to spend a day in the Baku area: all as described, with a particularly erudite and invested guide. The best possible outcome of a one-day tour of a region, is to have such a great time that a longer, more in-depth visit of the region jumps onto one's bucket list by the end of that day. That's what just happened to me: I look forward to coming back with the family and more time! Thank you VLA!

Beyond exceptional, highly personalised and flexible private tour at a very affordable price - My private tour was delivered by tour guide, Valah. He’s extensive knowledge in the past and present of Azerbaijan derived from his PhD in archaeology certainly made this tour a highly informative one. Having Valah who I deemed to be “over qualified” as a tour guide, I have learned so much in the tour itself. Above all, his passion for history and more importantly, his job as a tour guide was evident throughout the entire duration of this tour. What made this tour stand out the most was the highest level of guest experience that Valah and the driver, Ali, went out of their way in fulfilling. These included picking me up from my hotel that was outside the city centre, stopping halfway during the tour for me to organise my SIM card, choosing a restaurant for lunch that best suited my needs, being so proactive in making me aware of places where restrooms were available, and for giving me the option of dropping me off back at my hotel or the city centre at the end of the tour. For the first time in all the tours I have attended across the 70+ countries, I even received a text message from Valah in the evening after my tour and city drop off to ensure my evening in Baku went smoothly. Thank you once again to Valah and Ali for making my first day in Azerbaijan an enjoyable and memorable one.

Trip through the fiery Azerbaijan - We were lucky and the booked group trip consisted only of us, our driver and our formidable guide Valeh. The four of us went on a trip through the mythical land of neolithic tribes and zoroastrian believers. Valeh wasn’t only knowledgable on the historic topics but also granted us many insights into Azerbaijani life and gave us recommendations on restaurants and places to go out. The guys were flexible about the schedule and let us play DJs during the drives and we took away some new artists to check out. An overall great trip!

Land of fire - I recommend this trip to everyone who’s in Baku! A must! Gives you a lot of understanding to the land and it’s history. We visited the pertroglyphs, the mud vulcanoes, the Bibi-Heybat mosque, the fire temple and the yanardag - an incredibly unique wonder of nature. Our guide, Turali, is a great, easy going, open and eloquent person speaking fluent English and Russian. He shared a lot of in-depth details about the history of Azerbaijan and Gobustan. We had fascinating conversations about the temporary context of the Azerbaijan culture. All in all, a really great time. Highly recommended.

Great day trip from Baku - Velah is a great guide and this day trip is a great one as you see a different aspect to Azerbaijan from Baku, as you drive through different landscapes and see the natural beauty Azerbaijan has to offer. It's a packed day and Velah goes through some of the history of Azerbaijan aswell as the history of the places visited and their significance. Gospatan was a real highlight for us as the rock formations are incredible on their own. Highly recommend this tour with Velah.

Yanardag - It was interesting- especially the museum part. It is a short trip from the city but do not have high expectations. It’s better to combine it with the fire temple. It was pretty interesting and the restaurant was nice.
