The excursion is not for... - The excursion is for people who are in good shape. The conditions for kayaking on our morning were not ideal three of us braved the high wind and completed it. Then the hike to the beach while not technical was challenging. Make sure you have shoes with support as you will be hiking over rocky terrain. Overall the excursion was fantastic and we would highly recommend it for those seeking a little challenge and adventure. Our guides Alberto and Alex were remarkable and very knowledgeable. We had a person in our group who did not speak Spanish but both of them spoke great English. Both tours we did with MTA were worth every penny.

amazing experience - Professional guidance through out, the mangrove converted our kayaking trip in an amazing experience. The hiking was wonderful. We enjoyed the whole day complemented with a delicious lunch. The weather forecast indicated windy conditions, we were contacted with very direct an honest approach offering to cancel the activity, we finally decide to take the risk and wait for actual conditions, at the end we were able to complete the kayak and hiking activity; snorkeling activity was cancelled since our safety was not guaranteed (they really cared about our safety).

Perfect Day outing from La Paz! - Our family had an amazing day on the water with MTA! The kayaking at Balandra was so peaceful! The snorkle session, although short and limited, was fun and perfectly timed. The hike to Tecolote was beautiful and very doable for our 11 and 14yr olds. The pesto ceviche lunch at Tecolote was the food highlight of our entire week in Baja. Our guides Mateo and Alejandro were the best! Not only did we learn so much about Balandra and the area, but we had really insightful and interesting conversations throughout the day. We are grateful for such a wonderful day and will cherish the photos and memories for years to come!

Wow! - We arrived at the park entrance at 7:40am and had no difficulty at all in accessing it, Alex and his colleague were right in front of us to hand us the bracelets. Kayaking in the mangroves, snorkeling, hiking to see Balandra Beach from a viewpoint and then to Telecote beach for lunch! “Easy” hike but some climbs in the sand / rock that takes about 1 hour. MTA will take care of your vehicle and bring it to the end point 👌🏻! So if you want to stay relaxing in Telecote Beach then you can, there is a small restaurant and sun loungers that you can rent, otherwise bring your things in your car. Alex and his colleague were welcoming and passionate about nature. The day is perfect, I definitely recommend this activity!!

Must Do! - Trip started at Balandra with kayaking through the mangroves. Seeing all the wildlife. The guides were very knowledgeable and pleasant. We did some snorkeling. The conditions were a bit rough, waters were choppy but guides had alternative activity for those who werent confident swimmers. My bf wasn't a great swimmer but wanted to try snorkeling, so the guide was sure to be right there next to him, helping him and making sure he got the best out of his experience. I saw all kinds of marine life around the coral reefs. The hike passed through beautiful beaches and offered 360 views. It was breathtaking. The grand finish at Tecolote with the most delicious ceviche I've ever tasted was a perfect end to a perfect day. Word of advice, plan to stay at Tecolote Beach to enjoy the water. I was sad I arranged Pick up ride too early. We took a taxi from center of town and it was $800 pesos round trip. Approx $40USD. Bring sunscreen!

Kayak, Snorkel, Hike=Fun! - Kayak, Snorkel and Hike was great. Marie was a very good leader of our group in some challenging windy conditions. She guided us to a great snorkel location. Sooo many fish. Alex took us on a wonderful hike through all types of terrain. We got up close and personal with Mushroom Rock and had amazing views of Balandra Bay. The post hike beach picnic was outstanding! The shaded tent and chairs along with a cool drink were a welcome sight! Thank you for a wonderful day!
