Beautiful island!! Great excursion!! - My wife and I chose the early ferry to Blue Lagoon (8am departure time). The staff at the office was friendly, helpful, and personable. Gizelle accompanied us on the boat ride and she was FANTASTIC!! The ride to the island was great! Beautiful weather and a nice smooth ride.
We arrived at the island faster that advertised (only about 15-20 minutes, even though it's advertised as a 30-minute ride). The island is GORGEOUS!! Pristine beach, beautiful water. Our only complaint was that the rentable mini-canopy covered seating blocks the view of the "first-come, first-serve" seating.
The island offers many activities, including dolphin, shark, sea lion, and ray interactions. We didn't schedule any, but you are allowed to stand and watch the dolphin interactions from a short distance away (which we did). There is also snorkeling, kayaking, and what they call the "Aquapark", which is basically an obstacle course on the water. The Aquapark was included with the excursion price, but there is a charge for the other activities. Not to mention, as stated earlier, the great sand and surf! It all allowed for some amazing pictures! You are given a meal and a drink with the tour. The meal was pretty good (fries were cold though).
You are on the island for a little under 5 hours. I definitely suggest going early. It gets pretty crowded as the day gets on. All in all, we really enjoyed the excursion.

Perfect day - Highly recommend the adults only vip day. Spencer was amazing, bringing us drinks and food all day. It wasn’t crowded and was a perfect day.

Relaxing and Sunny - The experience was great as Blue Lagoon offers other activities that one can add on once there. The ferry pick-up and drop-off are punctual, so recommend following the instructions on the website and from the crew. Keep in mind that the bars and food areas/trucks in Blue Lagoon do not open until 10:00 AM, and the arrival is approximately 8:30 AM so your time for drinks and food will be limited. If doing the sea lions and dolphin encounters, recommend doing those early so that you do not miss your ferry.

Waste of time and money! - This place was a waste of our entire day. We met for our excursion on the ship (royal Caribbean symphony of the seas) at 8:30am. We finally arrived at the blue lagoon at 10:45am. That entire time was spent standing in line at the pier in the heat. Our given “lunch time” was 10:30am to 11:30am. So we rushed to get food while we still had a chance. The food was disgusting. You get one small bottle of juice, lemonade or tea. The food had clearly been reheated and sitting. All the other drinks are overpriced. We found chairs all the way to the right side of the main beach. The kids had fun snorkeling but there was garbage all over the sand and around the chairs. By the time the kids got to swim and snorkel it was 12:15. We had to get back on the boat to go back to port at 1:45. We walked to the area to get back on the ferry boat and the line to get on had already formed and went no joke about 1/4 mile into the blue lagoon area. It was another hour wait to get back on the boat to get back to the port. Where they conveniently drop you off on the other side so you are forced to walk through the market adding another long walk back to the ship. It was so unorganized and the LEAST relaxing thing we could have possibly done on vacation.

This place was Gross - This was a last-minute booking from our Royal Carribean Cruise excursion. We have always gone to the Atlantis and just felt like trying something different. Big mistake. I think we paid just a little under $140 a person. It was just my wife and I. It started right at the port. We waited and waited for one person to check everyone in while about four other employees just stood there. We then got on the slowest possible boat for our ride over to the Island. I am not joking every other boat was flying bye us. We finally got there and once we got off, we stood in line again walked to the opposite end of the Island and was told to wait again. We then were told this was the adult only portion which was gross we were facing towards this tiny lagoon that was waist high at most with a lifeguard. The chairs where nasty as well. We spent the extra money to get the food and all included drinks which again was a big mistake. The food was nasty. Steak was dry and tough, and the chicken was even worse. The rice was ok. The all you can drink was the Bahama mama that was horrible. It was so sweet. I wound up buying a beer for $9. The bartender even said the drinks were terrible. We wound up heading back over to the boat area and just hung out over there until it was time to go. I hate to say this but this was terrible and not as advertised at all and would not go back. Spend the few extra dollars and go to the Atlantis at least its well kept.

Shark "Encounter" - We were on a cruise excursion. Too bad we got there around 10h30am. There wasn't a lounge chair or an umbrella available. They were all taken. If you want to spend the day there, you need to get there early. The place was crowded.
The shark encounter was disappointing. We watched a group having the experience when it was our turn, he said he was tired and sat down on the stairs. Didn't give information about the sharks, we just touched to take a quick photo (less than 30 seconds) and that was it. No flipping, not feeding, nothing else. He told us we could snorkel, but at that point not allowed to touch the sharks. We were frustrated. We paid $300, and this experience was ridiculous.
