Amazing day! - My family had an amazing experience touring Costa Rica. Our tour guide Ray and driver Gio were super friendly and knew so much about the land. We were picked up from our hotel and able to pick up some food at a market before going to a beautiful waterfall. We were driven to hanging bridges and taken on a nature walk which both had beautiful sights. Additionally, we participated in a cocoa tour and were taken to a local farm to taste fresh coffee. This company really supports local businesses and farmers which was very heartwarming to see. Both Ray and Gio were constantly on the lookout for wildlife throughout our tour and pointed out landmarks like volcanos that otherwise look like mountains to a tourist. Ray took many photos for us that were shared after our tour which allowed us to enjoy the views without being concerned about getting a photo-op. Even though we were all in the car together for hours, it was never awkward and we all shared good laughs together. I highly recommend booking with this company, this was one of my favorite experiences on my trip.

Book with these Guys if you want the ultimate vip experience - We had the best visit to Costa Rica last week!!! We booked an excursion with Freddy Campos and it was way more than we could have hoped for! It was just 3 of us….myself, my husband, and our 9 year old daughter and we felt like VIPS from the second we got picked up from our hotel at 6:30am and dropped back off at almost 8pm!! Neme and Ray were AMAZING!!! They could spot animals from a mile away and would even pull over and get us out for photo ops!! We did 2 waterfalls, wenr to a delicious fruit stand, a rainforest nature hike, coffee tour, and lunch…and they even stopped at a great souvenir shop on the way home!! the guys knew all the good spots and everywhere we went the guys knew people and we felt like vips! Ray was so good to my daughter and knew how much she wanted to see a sloth and he made it a point to find her not 1 but 3 sloths for her to see!!! Again, we highly recommend Freddy and his team for an amazing experience!!! If you want to feel like vips give these guys a call! We can’t wait to go back again!!!

Unforgettable Day with Luis (Guide) & Manrique (Driver) – Wildlife, Waterfalls, and Warm Hospitality! - I was initially reluctant to book this tour because the company had so few reviews —but I’m so glad I did. It turned out to be our favorite activity during our entire stay in Costa Rica. We did the Sloths, Rio Celeste & Rainforest with Lunch tour through Freddy's Experiences Costa Rica, and everything about it exceeded expectations. We were pleasantly surprised by the fact that this was a private tour for our family of four. Our guide Luis and driver Manrique were fantastic—warm, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. Both spoke excellent English, and we had great conversations during the drive about Costa Rican history, biodiversity, pop culture, landscape, eco-tourism, political history, and language. It made the 90+ minute drive from our resort in Tamarindo fly by. My son, a budding wildlife photographer, came in with a mental checklist of pics he wanted to capture on the tour: two types of toucans, sloths, lizards, monkeys, snakes. Luis somehow managed to find *every single animal* my kid was hoping to see. He kept telling my son, “I’m keeping my eyes peeled,” (which I found very endearing because Luis was so intent on learning popular expressions used by native English speakers), and he meant it. His ability to find and identify wildlife was amazing, and the fact that he's never been outside Costa Rica but speaks English so fluently was especially impressive. The hike through the rainforest was definitely a workout, but it was absolutely worth it. Be prepared to wear good shoes, as the landscape can be slippery. It is also steep - and for someone like me who has hip issues, it was definitely a challenge. The payoff was the views - the Rio Celeste Blue Lagoon was stunning, and we worked up a really solid appetite for the delicious lunch, a traditional Costa Rican meal. The coffee experience afterward was a fun and enlightening way to end the day. This was more than just a tour — it felt like a genuine experience of Costa Rica’s natural beauty and culture, made even better by guides who clearly love what they do. If you're on the fence about booking—especially with a smaller company—don’t hesitate. This tour was the absolute highlight of our trip. (I don't have permission from my kid yet to share his pics, but they all came out AMAZING. What an amazingly beautiful biodiverse country...)

Fun filled day - We had an amazing experience on our tour. Our tour guide Emma was awesome!!! First the hike to the waterfall is beautiful. Emma pointed out snakes, frogs, insects and so many other animals that we would never have seen if he wasn’t with us. We took many pictures. Then the sloth tour which was so much fun. We saw a sloth up in a tree and he actually came down which is rare that they do that. We were able to see him pretty close and take plenty of pictures. Finally, the chocolate and coffee tour. We sampled the coffee and learned how it’s made and we purchased several different types of chocolate which were delicious. Overall an amazing day ! I highly recommend this tour.

A jam packed day to remember - Decided to book myself in for a private tour with Freddy Campos team while traveling in CR. My goal was to see wildlife, hike and explore and I got to do it all. We hiked, learned about chocolate (and of course sampled), had a delicious local lunch, visited the beautiful blue river and spent time with an incredible family on their local farm, learning about coffee production and their family's history. So many incredible spaces, people, and animals to explore. Memories that will forever be in my heart and my guid Nem was a treat, even got to practice all my spanish. PURA VIDA.

Unforgettable Experience for the whole family! - I’m such a planner and Freddy’s tips and recommendations made it even better! With Freddy’s experiences, he was able to quickly improvised the schedule that I have been planning for a year. He helped ease my anxiety with the weather to the closing of Rio Celeste’s waterfall. I repeat, DO NOT depend on those weather apps! I was so upset to find out the waterfall was closed a day before my tour. I’m sure Freddy’s heart broke when he told me the news. Freddy kept assuring me his plans would be perfect. Not going to lie, I doubted him. My heart has been set to see this blue waterfall since last year. Anyhow, long story short, I told him to do what’s best and that I wanted to see this blue water. He was able to make it happen! FYI, the blue water is never a guarantee, but he was able to squeeze some time for me to see the river regardless the color to make me happy. Geo and Reiner were our tour guides from Freddy’s Experience. Geo was an excellent driver and made us feel very safe. He was so sweet and well mannered. Let’s jump to our main tour guide, Reiner. One word, he just was just PHENOMENAL. He was engaged, very entertaining, and always excited to show us everything. His personality fits our family! He asked us the goals of the tour and EXECUTED THEM all and MORE. His love for his country and his people shows throughout the day. He gave us a fantastic overview of the history of the country and his people during the drive. He threw some science info and spanish to make my kids know that what they learned in school could be applied here in CR. He made it a lil field trip for them!=) I’m one of those geeky parents. My heart was secretly smiling! Gosh, he really engaged the kids and loosened them up before the big day. The tour was perfect for what we wanted -- not nearly enough time to see the area, but enough time to get an idea of what we wanted to see more of while visiting. Spending time with Geo and Reiner felt like hanging out with friends that we hadn’t seen for a long time. Reiner knew we were foodies and took us to an awesome place for lunch. The restaurant was clean and service was great! Along the way, he found a couple of great stops for snacks and bathroom breaks. Exceeded our Expectations - Our Costa Rican vacation was even better than we had dreamed. What a beautiful country and beautiful people. We were so grateful that we hooked up with Freddy Campos for our transportation and excursions. It was so reassuring to have knowledgeable drivers pick us up from the airport and hotel each day. Relieved a lot of stress around how we’d move around the country. We have visited several island countries and the last couple of years we chose to just stay at the resort, on the beach or at the pool. But we really wanted to explore Costa Rica. SOOO glad we did!! We got to experience the real culture and landscape of the country. I’d advise, get off the resort! Our key goal was to see a sloth in the wild. And we did!! But when asked what our favorite tour was, we have a hard time answering because we equally enjoyed the waterfall, the chocolate class, the coffee farm, the private catamaran and the shopping that Freddy arranged for us. If we had not booked with a guide, we never would have seen and experienced what we did. We always felt safe and personally taken care of by Freddy and his guys. HIGHLY recommend this crew do show you the real Costa Rica.

Amazing Experience with Freddy! - We took 2 tours with Freddy’s company. Both tours we had his guide Reiner, who was amazing! He and the drivers made sure to go above and beyond to get us to see great wildlife in their natural habitat and even some extra special stops! The traditional Costa Rican lunch we had both days was amazing! Freddy and his guides really love their beautiful country and it shows! It was our first time in Costa Rica and both tours were the highlights of our trip! Definitely use Freddy!
