Have to experience it - We watched the sunset at the top of the temple , views were amazing 😍 monkeys are crazy over there especially at the car park so be careful they are aggressive if in their way or you have anything on you. The fire dance was an experience and so interesting you even get a description prior to it know what it’s about . Would recommend to do it in the evening as the fire flames makes it so much 🤗

Immersed in the local culture - Great day at the Uluwatu Temple, then the Fire Dance and finishing with dinner at Jimbaran beach. Widi is an excellent guide.

Excellent cultural experience. - Excellent cultural experience. Learn the culture of the people in this love story brought to life with bright colors, pyrotechnics, and singing. Family friendly. If you go at sunset you enjoy the beautiful view from a seated position before the show starts. Bring your sunglasses though it gets bright. Water is provided.

Great interesting cultural experience - Great interesting cultural experience telling a condensed part of the Ramayana story. All done with pure vocal effect so the dramatic actions and colourful costumes made up for the bits we weren't sure exactly was was happening! Actors all put in extremely lively and full on performance. Situation on clifftop at Uluwatu Temple = great photo opportunities👍 We were so grateful it didn't rain! Great pizzas and service at the BeJaNa restaurant nearby beforehand😀

Interesting cultural performance, but beware …. - Traditional dance in an idyllic location. Bring wet weather gear or sunscreen/shade as the amphitheatre is exposed to all elements. Performance is interesting but makes more sense if you read the info provided when you buy your ticket. Can be repetitive to some. Small children may he afraid of masks/costumes or fire. 45mins in length is at its maximum threshold for some. Otherwise a good cultural experience. If you have a performance closer to you, save yourself the trek to Uluwatu. Unfortunately our evening was wet & overcast so we didn’t see any magical sunset. Temple visit was marred by the somewhat aggressive monkeys. Hold onto your spectacles, jewellery & phones. There’s quite a few monkeys here. Beware: Women who are menstruating are not permitted in the temple. Local food vendors outside are cost effective & helpful. If you’re not local, The drive into Uluwatu is worth the visit.

We really liked it. - We really enjoyed this traditional dance. We went at 6pm so to see the beautiful sunset. The dance was really good, lasted about 45 minutes and near the end they dance round fire. It tells a story and the dancers wear masks and jump into the crowd which is funny. Cost was Rp150 and the queuing system is a bit manic but it works. You will see monkeys who steal everything so keep your belongings safe.
