• Bibliotheca Alexandria - Begin your journey with a pickup from your Cairo hotel and travel to Alexandria. The tour starts at the Library of Alexandria, the largest library globally, housing 8 million books. Visit the President Sadat Museum and explore the open court, where you can admire statues of Alexander the Great and Ptolemy I, discovered underwater nearby. The guide will provide an overview of the library’s exterior design, with opportunities for photo stops. Note: The Alexandria Library is closed on Fridays, Saturdays, and public holidays. A ticket is required to enter the reading area.

• Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa - Explore the Catacombs of Kom El Shokafa, the largest Roman cemetery, featuring three levels carved into the rock.

• Pompey’s Pillar - Drive by Pompey’s Pillar and pause for a photo opportunity. This pillar was erected in honor of Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century.

• Ancient Roman Amphitheater - Stroll past the excavation site of the Old Roman City of Alexandria, including Roman villas, Amphitheater Ruins, Alexandria’s Great Tomb excavation site, and various ruins. Note that the tour does not include interior visits, but the guide will provide historical insights from the outside.

• Saint Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Cathedral - Visit St. Mark’s Church, the oldest church in Africa.

• Mansheya - Continue the tour through Mansheya’s oldest market area, featuring traditional women’s markets (zan’et etsetat) with narrow streets and a gold market where wedding and engagement jewelry is purchased.

• Alexandria Unknown Naval Soldier Memorial - Pass by the Unknown Soldiers Memorial.

• Sidi Morsi Abu al-Abbas Mosque - The car will transport you to the city’s largest and most beautiful mosque, allowing for a photo stop at the Abbo Elabbas Mosque. Walk by Egypt’s oldest funfair.

• Kayetbai - Across from the corniche and old harbor, observe old fishing boats, fishermen, and traditional net-making. The photos here are stunning. Continue to view the exterior of Quaitbay Castle, built on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. This spectacular castle is an excellent photo stop.

• King Farouk Palace - In Montaza Gardens, also known as the Love Garden, visit the royal gardens of King Farouk, Egypt’s last king. See the royal palaces of Haramlek and Salamlek, walk along the famous Montaza bridge, reach the Tea Palace island, and view the queens’ royal beaches. Then, return comfortably to your Cairo hotel.
