This Phoenician city, where a triad of deities was worshipped, was known as Heliopolis during the Hellenistic period. It retained its religious function during Roman times, when the sanctuary of the Heliopolitan Jupiter attracted thousands of pilgrims. Baalbek, with its colossal structures, is one of the finest examples of Imperial Roman architecture at its apogee.

Must do in Lebanon - Albert was the absolute BEST guide!! He is so friendly, and he knows everything about Lebanon 🇱🇧. He told us about the sights, best food places, the different areas, he was the best. During this trip, it was so amazing we booked again for the next day to do another trip. Definitely book, definitely ask for Albert!

A Unique Experience in Lebanon - I joined two different tours with Hassan. On the first day, we visited Harissa, Batroun, and Byblos. On the second day, we explored Anjar, Baalbek, and Ksara. Batroun and Baalbek took my breath away with their beauty—I highly recommend everyone to see them. I had two amazing days filled with aesthetics, history, and architecture. Lebanon is a paradise! And let’s not forget the delicious food. The restaurants we dined at during the tour were both tasty and satisfying.
Traveling with our dear tour guide Hassan was a pleasure. He is very funny, kind, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about his job. I’m planning to come back, and I would love for Hassan to accompany me on my journey again!

Great Tour of Baalbek - Great trip with Albert to Baalbek with a small group. We had a few extra days in Beirut and used one of them for this tour. Baalbek was incredible and the highlight of the stay. The tour was well organized with great communication, and the lunch fantastic. Highly recommend!!

The Ancient Ruins in Lebanon - Had an amazing time visiting Anjar, Baalbek, and Ksara! If you are someone interested in seeing the ancient ruins, this tour is for you! Baalbek was very large and cool to see! My guide Albert was also very knowledgeable and helpful along the way! I recommend this trip to anyone visiting Lebanon.

An excellent tour. - The tour arrangements were completed without any problems whatsoever. The pick-up was punctual and Hassan, the guide/driver, was extremely knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. His depth of knowledge of the history of Lebanon and of the sites we visited was exceptional. The tour was everything I had hoped for and the outcome was lifelong memories and a much better understanding of the complexities of the Levant. Highly recommended.

I’m impressed and delighted! Highly recommended to take this tour! - Such a wonderful trip it was!🫶🏻
First, I’d like to mention the professionalism of the guide. Hassane contacted me after booking and informed about the time of the start of the tour. He was very punctual and came on time.
Also, I’d like to mention the cleanliness of his car. It was super comfortable and pleasant to move along the day by his car.
Second, the itinerary itself. The day is organized really well. In the beginning, we visited the ancient city Aanjar, then the winery and after that proceeded to Baalbek. I was impressed by every location.
In the end of the day we’ve had a very nice and delicious lunch.
P.S.: thanks to Hassane, I’ve enjoyed the fresh figs picked from the fig tree at one of the stops.
