- Please note; due to the Yorkshire Dales Rally on 28th and 29th of March 2026, there maybe some road closures and/or traffic disruptions in the area. This could mean that the tour may need to follow a slightly altered route or complete the itinerary in a different order than originally planned. Please be assured that all scheduled highlights will still be included wherever possible, and your driver/guide will ensure you have the best experience on the day.
- Please note on the dates listed Castle Bolton will be closed to the public and therefore will not be visited on your tour. (6th June, 12th June, 27th June, 17th July, 26th July, 1st August, 22nd August 11th September and 26th September 2026)

Great way to see the... - Great way to see the Dales without a car! If going through Grassington first, sit on the right side of the car for the best views.

A great tour with outstanding guides - I really appreciated the communication I received from the company before the tour even started, I received a confirmation email a day before about when and where to meet. I meet our driver, Barry, who was both very professional and extremely friendly. During the trip he would point out points of interest and give a quick explanation of things. He was able to communicate clearly and was always open for questions. When we stopped he would give great recommendations about where to eat or what to see. Even though it was a long day the time went by quickly and there was never a dull moment during the tour.

A lovely day trip to the Yorkshire Dales - Our trip to the Yorkshire Dales our driver and guide, was thoroughly enjoyable. Trevor pointed out lots of landmarks on our route and was extremely knowledgeable with lots of interesting stories.
The stops at the various places en route were the right length and he pulled in at viewing points to allow us to admire the beautiful scenery and take photos.
The Wensleydale Creamery was a particular highlight, with the opportunity to see cheese making and buy the delicious produce. A stop at one of the small churches where the famous furniture maker Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson had carved a mouse into one of the church pews added to the enjoyment of the tour.

Great way to see the Yorkshire Dales - Not the first one of these trips I have been on, they are a great way for people (especially us non-drivers) to get out into the heart of the Dales. The scenery is beautiful, the tour guide (Trevor) knowledge, and plenty of time to get something to eat or drink at the morning and lunch shops. The minibuses are modern and comfortable, it's a lovely treat being chauffeured around and learning more about what we are seeing.

Great day out, value for money - We had a great day out in the Yorkshire Dales. My fiancé is a huge fan of the series All Creatures Great and Small, which was filmed im.different locations im the Dales. Barry was our driver and tour guide, and what a lovely, down to earth and interesting man, he was very friendly and knowledgeable and we learnt a lot of interesting and fun information and stories from him, he was an excellent host. Plenty of stops for photos, toilet breaks and a stop for lunch at Wensleydale Creamery. It was a great day, spent in a really great environment and with great company and the cherry on top - really great value for money. Thanks again Barry and Mountain Goat Tours. We look forward to booking more tours with you again in the near future in all the different areas you do tours in and will be recommending you to everyone we know. Keep up the good work!

Great tour with a super host! - Absolutely cracking tour seeing the “All creatures great and small” countryside!! Comfortable bus, great itinerary and wonderful scenery.

An eventful day with Ben at the Dales! - I had a great time with Mountain Goat tour to the Dales. Our Tour Guide BEN was a very informed person, well rounded about history, gave us great information, very funny and witty as well. He drove safely and made sure we'll all well during the tours. we stopped at several places as well and had lunch at the creamery. I would recommend the tour to anyone who wants to discover the dales.
