Superb overview of Yorkshire Dales - Our guide Trevor was very knowledgeable of the area and took us to not miss stops. We were just 16 in a nicely set up van with 2 and 1 seating in the rows. We stopped at overlooks for photo ops and had longer stays in Grassington (aka Darrowby of All Creatures Great and Small), a small church used in the series, Wensleydale Creamery, and Bolton Castle timed to see a raptor display. Because of the drought we didn’t see the waterfall as there was reported to be only a trickle. I think it gave us more time at the other stops so the group vote to bypass the waterfall was a good choice. All in all a very good day!

One of our favorite tour trips yet. - The Bolton Castle was the highlight of the trip for us. It was the most authentic medieval castle we have ever seen. It was really a transport back in time and you felt like you were in the castle during the medieval times. John was our guide for the day. He was so knowledgeable about so many topics and he had a very easy to understand voice. I highly recommend this tour. We saw a beautiful countryside and a lot of information about the York and Yorkshire area. We had plenty of time at every stop didn’t feel rushed, and we all enjoyed it immensely.

Mountain Goat Tours from York Yorkshire Dales - My daughter and I had the pleasure of spending the day on the Mountain Goat Tours, Yorkshire Dales from York, with John S as our guide. He was very knowledgeable and told many stories and antidotes of the area he loves. We saw many wonderful villages and awesome castles. The highlight of the day was Bolton Castle and the Bolton medieval garden. Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned at this castle. Beautiful day and beautiful scenery along the way, including so many sheep and their lambs with the pastures divided by the endless rock walls. Charming . Another special place was Jervaulx Abbey near Ripon where we spent plenty of time. John always let us explore to our hearts content; never rushing us. We loved our day and the memories.

Beautiful views tailored to our needs and interests - My mom and I had several days with John S. First , he brought us from Manchester to our hotel in York. We then had a full day touring the Moors and Whitby then another day touring the Yorkshire Dales. The scenery was spectacular and John S. had very interesting commentary and amusing anecdotes along the way. It was just my 83-year old mom and I and he did a fabulous job of tailoring what we did to meet our needs.

Absolutely fantastic and would do the tour again in a heartbeat. - Barry was fantastic and informative on the Dales tour. Would recommend this tour for anyone interested. Visiting Knaresborough, Ripley, Grassington, castle Bolton and many more places. My favourite was Hawes and the lunch at Wensleydale Creamery for lunch and the cheese tasting. What a treat 😊
