Well worth a visit a must to do in Cyprus - Quite eerie and also very sad that so many people had to flee homes leaving everything behind. What a trauma. Our tour guide was one who had to flee his home back in 1974 so could remember how life was back then. He had so many memories and excellent knowledge

Definitely worth it. Impressive place and fine guide. - Impressive tour of Famagusta. Atos speaks from his heart about the history and current situation regarding the Turkish occupation. He's been through it all. Appreciation for the fact that, despite the fact that it must be difficult for him, in this way he ensures that the story of the people who fled remains alive.

Mind numbing - Amazing experience
Unbelievable what happened to those poor people they had no help so sad for them
And this all took place in my lifetime people even lost there money in the bank never mind everything they owned
And still there are no plans for the area

Impressive. - Impressive and sad to see. Were shown around by an old resident and this was therefore clearly noticeable, the pain at the loss was palpable. He could tell a lot and knew every building inside out. Our only advice to him is to keep his political opinions to himself and not start the morning cranky but maybe that was part of his cynical humor (which we could appreciate, by the way).

Eye opening, friendly, informative trip, highly recommend. - We had such a great time on this tour, our tour guide Astos, was amazing, friendly and funny. He gave us lots of information about the history of Cyprus and Famagusta, as well as his own experiences. The trip really opens your eyes to what the Cypriots have been through

Bit short and rushed - Interesting tour and we had a great driver, Dimitri, but the tour itself is a bit short with only less than an hour in the ghost town part.

The history of the... - The history of the invasion, the initial walk through the ghost town. This was supposed to be a half day trip, it ended up being nearly 8 hours.
