Definitely recommended this tour. - We did a boat trip through the ria as a couple. Also to be able to see the birds a bit closer at low tide. Was a nice experience. Gustavo can tell you a lot about the rio and its history. He'll take all the time for you. Also enjoyed the beautiful sunset on the boat.

Do it! Do not doubt - Super fun and interesting trip that goes outside the locks. Not comparable to the full tourist boats that only do the inside channels. Skipper knows a lot about the area and Aveiro. Really do when you're here.

Getaway on the Ria de Aveiro - A 1h30 walk/excursion on a small boat with our guide. We were in a relationship. The tour of the Ria includes the industrial port, the fishing port with huge boats that go to the North Atlantic and a remnant of 4-masted tuna ship/caravel, the oil port and facilities dedicated to organic fuels and of course the ancient salt flats that we discover through the meanders of the small canals. Old buildings located on private islands. Pink flamingos, herons and other birds that fish in quiet water. This bucolic tour, almost private, is a beauty and tranquility that brings tension down to the same level as the water of the Ria. Our guide speaks Portuguese, English and good French which is convenient. He doesn’t hesitate to take his time to show us interesting things and looks back on the past with photographs to show the evolution of the Ria over time. Thus, we learn that the number of saltworks in Aveiro has been reduced by 70% since the 1970s. Superb visit, not to be confused with the visit of the Canal d’Aveiro en molisseiro which lasts barely 45 minutes and shows you nothing interesting.

A Unique Tour! - We are so happy we chose this private river tour instead of one of the big Moliceiro boats. Our captain, Gustavo, was a terrific guide and offered truly interesting stories along the way. We learned a lot about the Port of Aveiro, its history and the area’s salt and fishing businesses. He took us through small, more obscure lagoon canals and we saw flamingos, storks, swallows, ospreys, a kingfisher and more. A thoroughly enjoyable time. Highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic! - An absolutely magnificent tour, which uncovered the corners of the Ria de Aveiro. The route was adapted according to the time of sunset, in order to see the flamingos and the nests of dwarfs. The trip was made with two children and two adults, with the greatest safety and, at the same time, the fun inherent in the discovery of the nautical experience: the passage of the comportas, the nautical manoeuvres and the adventure of navigation. All this in the company of Gustavo, who told us various curiosities of a special area that changed a lot over the centuries! I highly recommend!

Good day - Very pleasant visit. Guia top. We made the bigger walk which was a good decision. We went to the lighthouse of the Barra returning from the side of the cods. Where they told us a little about our culture about fishing.
