Here you can learn more about a large number of petroglyphs, natural environment of Gobustan, population, cultural development and archaeological expeditions in this area.
Thanks to touch screens and special 3D panoramas, within the walls of the museum you can see how people lived 5000-20000 years ago. In the rooms of the museum you will find a wide variety of historical exhibits dating from about IV—II millennium BC.

Thereafter our guide will take you to Gobustan rocks, where you will be able to see more than 6000 rock drawings and caves with your own eyes. Petroglyphs from different eras, discovered by scientists in the 30s of the 20th century, will help you get more information about ancient people, about their worldview, customs and traditions.

Mud Volcanoes - Mud Volcanoes.
Mud volcanoes appeared on the territory of the present Azerbaijan Republic 25 million years ago. For the present Azerbaijan ranks first in the world in the number of mud volcanoes (350 of the 800 volcanoes of the world are in the Azerbaijani Republic). The eruptions of volcanoes are used as raw material in the chemical and construction industries as well as in pharmacology. Moreover, nowadays volcanic clay and mud are used in the treatment of diseases related nervous system, skin and rheumatism.
Our guide will take you to the active mud volcanoes, that you can climb and view craters up close.
Before the start of the second part of the tour, you will be entitled to an hour’s lunch break in the city center.

Ateshgah - Fire Temple - Ateshgah of Baku.
Based on Persian and Indian inscriptions, the Fire Temple of Baku was used as a Hindu, and Zoroastrian place of worship. The first mention of this temple dates back to the 7th century ad.
Here you can see many cells of fire worshippers with large number of historical exhibits (cookware, stone slabs with inscriptions, elements of clothes) found during archaeological excavations. -
Yanardag State Historical, Cultural and Natural Reserve - Yanardag State Historical, Cultural and Natural Reserve.
Yanardag is a natural gas flame that has been constantly burning since ancient times on a hillside on Absheron Peninsula near Baku. The meaning of the phrase “Yanardag” is “Burning Mountain”.
To this day, pilgrims from Iran and India come here to visit the sacred burning mountain.
At the end of the tour you will be dropped off at your location in Baku.
