The best way to see Waiheke Island for the day.... - Jo was our tour guide for the half day and she drove us all around Waiheke Island. We went to Mudbrick Cellars, Allpress Olive Oil, Kennedy Estate Wines and had a huge platter lunch at Wild Estate. We shopped at Timmy Smith art gallery and bought a necklace that she made.

It is another world on... - It is another world on the island, a great city escape! A great mix of vineyards and the views were spectacular. Casita Miro was a lovely spot with a lovely lunch and family story. Loved the mosaics!

Fab day on Waiheke - Steve, our guide, was excellent from start to finish, friendly, welcoming, informative and a great driver. His commentary did not miss a beat, and his enthusiasm for life on Waiheke and its history was infectious. We had a fabulous day on a beautiful island, visiting three wineries - Kennedy Point, Batch, and Castila Miro - all quite different in their own ways, but each outstanding. Thanks Steve and Ananda!

Worth every penny, view, and sip! - Choose this tour to celebrate my birthday and it was a perfect day with Nick and wonderful people around the world! Would be great if everyone at the wineries were as nice and welcoming as Nikki at Kennedy Point. Sad oysters were not provided but understand. Idea to be a little warmer and more personable, instead of having guests walk into the perfect set up, winery host talks for 30 seconds and disappear. Revisiting favorites and telling tales makes for far better and endearing fans of your wine! (Pass this onto Josh at Batch.) Casita Miro was wonderful food, wine, and location. Great day and education with Nick in the bus - well done! Really enjoyed it again - if even a repeat trip. Can't wait to welcome Nick in Oregon, soon and return some favors for his kind hospitality of this magical place in the world :)

Great tour, outstanding value! - This tour was a joy! Getting to Waiheke Island from AKL could not have been easier. As soon as I arrived on the ferry, I was met by our tour guide Craig who was a lovely person and a wealth of knowledge. There were 15 of us on the tour which made for a nice balance of socializing/meeting new people while not feeling overcrowded. The wineries chosen for us (Kennedy Point, Batch and Casita Miro) were all beautiful in their own unique ways. We also had time to take a drive around the island and gaze at the beautiful beaches. For those of us who wanted a bit more wine to taste, Craig was kind enough to drop us at a gorgeous winery called Mudbrick before parting ways. Word of advice: if you wish to stick around the island for more drinking, beaching, etc., reserve a cab to take you back to the ferry. By the time we were ready to go, there was a backup (luckily one found us on the road as we were walking to the ferry). All told this was a really glorious day and an absolutely excellent value.

This was a relaxed tour... - This was a relaxed tour visiting three of Waiheke Island’s wineries with some very nice (predominantly red and rose) wines and a delicious lunch. Our driver and guide, Michael was friendly and informative and we really appreciated his laidback Kiwi style. We are Aucklanders while the rest of the group were from overseas and they all really enjoyed the tour. I highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Auckland.

Delicious and Beautiful Day - The Gourmet Food and Wine Tour with Janis was absolutely fantastic and worth every penny. He was so knowledgeable and excited about Waiheke, and it was so much fun getting his local expertise. The 3 wineries were equally gorgeous and delicious. Lunch at Casita Miro was a delight. I loved that we also had time to walk around a bit and see the water in several locations. My only regret is we didn’t allot any extra time to spend on the island after the tour because by the end I felt really connected to it.

Could have so much better on the “Gourmet “ food front ! - Whilst reading all the other reviews I almost feel guilty leaving this review but can only speak as I find. Yes .. it was no problem getting the ferry across … The guy that was our tour guide for the day was very friendly and informative.. a really nice bloke. As someone who has plenty to learn about wine .. it was interesting.. tbf I still can’t taste berry’s, melon .. etc etc 😂😂. But … a gourmet tour it’s certainly not.. yes … we were given the tiniest of tasters to try with the sips of wine .. and I mean tiny! Now .. the Lunch part of the Wine and Gourmet food tour… it was awful.. a cold soup ( Gazpacho) , followed by a selection of tapas …. 2 garlic prawns each .. and a couple of other bits that I can’t even remember. If you’re even slightly hungry you’ll leave still hungry. And the wine certainly doesn’t flow.. you’re made to feel a nuisance trying to order more with your meal … and it’s painfully slow coming … The lunch section of this tour really needs addressing.. Casita Miro.. you can’t really call it lunch!
