• Hobbiton Movie Set - Upon arrival at the first main attraction, ‘Hobbiton,’ guests will board one of the large green Hobbiton buses for a two and a half hour fully guided tour of this incredible 12-acre movie set. A professional Hobbiton guide will ensure a memorable visit. During the tour, explore the lush pastures of the Shire, visit 44 hobbit holes, admire the beautiful gardens, learn secrets and stories about the film’s production, and enjoy a complimentary cold beverage at the renowned Hobbiton pub, ‘The Green Dragon Inn.’

* Maintenance & restoration construction at Hobbiton is scheduled to begin on 01 June 2025, with major works expected to be completed by September 2025. During this time, construction and maintenance equipment and noise will be present. Tours will proceed as usual but will follow an alternate route around the construction area, offering a glimpse into the efforts to maintain the magical appearance of the Hobbiton Movie Set as seen in the films.

• Karapiro - After leaving Hobbiton and heading towards Waitomo, the tour stops at the picturesque Lake Karapiro. This location is home to one of New Zealand’s first hydro dams and is a training ground for some of the country’s top rowers. With stunning views across the lake and countryside, it’s an ideal spot for a quick break and photos.
• Otorohanga - Continuing the journey, the tour passes through more scenic landscapes, racehorse breeding areas, and rivers before reaching Otorohanga, known as “The Kiwiana capital of New Zealand.” Experience all things Kiwi as you travel through this unique and charming town.
