• Waikato Region - Traveling south from Auckland, we journey through the picturesque Waikato countryside, the world’s largest farming area, featuring stunning landscapes, powerful rivers, great photo opportunities, impressive mountains, and various farm animals.
• Hobbiton Movie Set - Upon arriving at ‘Hobbiton,’ the first major attraction, you’ll board a large green Hobbiton bus for a two-and-a-half-hour guided tour of this incredible 12-acre movie set. A professional Hobbiton guide will ensure you make the most of your visit. During the tour, you’ll explore the lush Shire pastures, visit 44 hobbit holes, admire beautiful gardens, learn behind-the-scenes stories about the movies, and enjoy a complimentary cold beverage at the famous Green Dragon Inn.
• Tirau - On our way to Rotorua, we pass through Tirau, known as the ‘Corrugated Iron Capital of the World’ due to its unique corrugated iron sculptures and buildings. This town always brings a smile, and our guides will point out the main highlights as we pass through.
• Te Puia - Rotorua, NZ - At our second major destination, Te Puia, you’ll receive a fully guided tour to experience the geothermal and Maori cultural wonders, including the Pōhutu Geyser, Māori architecture, the National Māori Arts School, geothermal craters, geothermal events, and even a chance to see a Kiwi bird in the Kiwi viewing house.
• Rotorua - To conclude our Rotorua experience, we’ll take a guided driving tour to see the city’s most famous sites, including Lake Rotorua, Rotorua Museum, Government Gardens, Whangapipiro (Rachel Spring), and the Blue Baths. If time permits, we may visit a special souvenir shop for discounted shopping and to sample Manuka Honey.
• Auckland - Unfortunately, we must head north again, but your day isn’t over yet. Enjoy a fully guided return trip to Auckland with secret stops along the way.
