- Viaduct Harbour - The tour includes a drive along the downtown waterfront, passing Viaduct Harbour, a popular spot for dining and nightlife. It features a variety of restaurants and bars, numerous boats, and is home to America’s Cup yachts and Whale & Dolphin watching boats.
- Wynyard Quarter - This area has been transformed into a charming waterfront dining destination and houses the Auckland Fish Market. It’s a great spot to revisit for Fish and Chips.
- Westhaven Marina - As the largest marina in the Southern Hemisphere, Westhaven Marina offers excellent photo opportunities of the Harbour, Harbour Bridge, and the Marina. Occasionally, Bungy Jumpers can be seen leaping off the Harbour Bridge. While Bungy Jumping isn’t part of the tour, assistance in organizing it is available. Clean restrooms are also located here.
- Auckland Harbour Bridge - The tour crosses the Bridge to the North Shore, heading towards Northcote Point.
- Little Shoal Bay Reserve - Shoal Bay in Northcote Point offers arguably the best views of Auckland City from across the Harbour, making it an ideal photo spot.
- Northcote - An optional coffee stop is available. The tour doesn’t include a formal morning or afternoon tea/coffee break to maximize sightseeing. There are several nice options for takeaway drinks and snacks, which can be brought back to the bus. Drink holders are provided for convenience.
- Ponsonby - This Victorian/Edwardian suburb is filled with charming older buildings and offers fantastic shopping with unique, mostly privately-owned shops. The diverse selection includes fashion boutiques, gift shops, homewares, antiques, cafes, and restaurants, making it worth revisiting after the tour.
- Karangahape Road (K Road) - Once known as a ‘colorful’ area, it’s experiencing a revival. While nightclubs, bars, and tattoo parlors remain, there’s also an intriguing selection of shops and cafes, making it worth a revisit.
- Mount Eden - The summit of Mt Eden provides fantastic elevated views of Auckland City. It’s a 5-10 minute walk from the parking lot to the summit, but the views are worth it. Restrooms are available here.
- Auckland Museum - The tour drives through Auckland Domain (Park) and past the Auckland Museum. Although the museum isn’t a stop on the tour, it’s worth visiting for its excellent exhibits on Maori and Polynesian culture and the enjoyable daily Maori cultural performance.
- Parnell Rose Gardens - The tour passes through the Victorian suburb of Parnell and by the Parnell Rose Gardens. If the flowers are in bloom, a photo stop can be made.
- Mission Bay Beach - The tour returns to the waterfront, enjoying a scenic drive past Ohaku Bay, Mission Bay, Kohimarama Beach, and on to Saint Heliers.
- St Heliers - After visiting Achilles Point, the tour continues through the seaside village of Saint Heliers and then back along the waterfront to downtown Auckland.
- Achilles Point - Located in the suburb of Saint Heliers, Achilles Point offers stunning views over the many islands in the Hauraki Gulf, as well as a distant view of Auckland City, making it a great photo stop.
- The University of Auckland - The tour travels along the tree-lined Symonds St, passing the University of Auckland, before heading into the downtown area.
- Auckland Central - In the downtown area, the tour highlights the Auckland Art Gallery and some of the smaller side streets, like High St and O’Connell Street, which feature interesting shops.
- Queen Street - As Auckland’s main shopping street, Queen St is pointed out for its beautiful heritage buildings, including the Auckland Town Hall and Civic Theater.
- Ferry Building - The tour concludes back at the Ferry Building. Alternatively, if staying in the downtown area, guests can be dropped off at their hotel.
