We loved the tour. Our... - We loved the tour. Our guide and driver, Roman, was amazing—very attentive and explained every detail. In Hallstatt, the guide Cristiana gave us a great overview of the village. The tour through the Austrian lakes and Hallstatt was truly worth it.

Totally worth it! - Had a wonderful day! The first stop was at a rest stop (which was veryyy expensive so make sure to byo breakfast). We then made two stops at lakes that were sooo beautiful. I enjoyed getting to walk around a bit and put my feet in the water. I would recommend packing water shoes and a bathing suit in case you are tempted to go swimming (i honestly would have if I’d known). Then we arrived in Hallstatt where we had a great tour with Christiana who shared some of the highlights of the village with us. We then had a perfect amount of time to walk around on our own, get food, take more pictures, and buy souvenirs. The car ride was long, but our driver, Roman, was fantastic! He was very kind and offered to stop for pictures here and there. He also had amazing knowledge to share about the sights that we passed along the way. It was the perfect amount of information with a bit of humor here and there. The ride was long, but definitely worth it in the end!

Hallstatt IS picture perfect - A wonderful trip. It’s a long day but well worth it. The weather wasn’t kind, very rainy but apparently it often rains there. As a traveller, you accept you can’t control the weather!
However, Peter our driver/guide managed to get to photo spots just before the rain. I was amazed at the beauty of the Austrian Alps. Being a small van we got into quaint townships that a big bus can’t access. I was pleased that the towns weren’t overcrowded eg.Attersee Lake, Unterach on Attersee, and St Gilgen were three places where we stopped. Just beautiful lakes, mountains and verdant green forest- so picturesque. Getting onto the roads that lead to these small towns is an added advantage of a small group tour.
Our local guide in Hallstatt was friendly, informative & very considerate. Walking down steps in the rain is not fun- but the town is worth it and she spoke to us under cover.
Then the sun came out and it was ALL WORTH IT!
Hallstatt is a pretty town on the lake.
a)The lake cruise is a must (50 mins) and leaves on the hour. b) Visit the churches c) we learnt about the Salt Mines d) there is a Sky Walk. I had decided not to go there. I thought the lines could be long and if cloudy you couldn’t see the mountains anyway. But this is an option if you are touring independently and have more time.
A beautiful trip to the Lakes District and Hallstatt. “Seize the day because every day is a gift”.

Lovely day - Gorgeous countryside, lovely village of Hallstatt, great drive/guide (Marco). It was nice to get out of the city and see Austria! But it was a very long day and lots of time spent in the van. We were picked up at 6:45 am and dropped off at 7:45 pm!

Perfect day trip from Vienna - We had an amazing day with Roman as our guide! Please remember to tip your driver/guide - they do so much for you and get you to/from Vienna safely. He was very friendly and knew so much about Vienna and the areas we visited on the tour. The stops we took at the lakes along the way ended up being a huge highlight for us. It helped break up the long drive and explore some quieter towns than Hallstatt. The rest stop for breakfast is very expensive! The three of us spent nearly 70 euros on yogurt bowls, coffee, and pastries. While we loved Hallstatt it was very busy with tourists. We were yelled at several people for accidentally being in the background of their pics. Way more crowded than I expected but our local guide Christiana said social media has made the town absolutely wild with visitors. 3 hours in Hallstatt is more than enough. We grabbed lunch and rented the electric boats. Many of the restaurants and the boat rides are cash only but there are 3 ATMs in town. The restrooms will require payment unless you use one in a cafe you’re eating at. Overall we were so happy we did this day trip!!

Worth the trip - We were picked up at our hotel by Marcus. He was prompt, friendly, cordial and very informative. He explained many of the sights along the way and answered our many questions. Bottle water was provided, several stops were taken to eat, use the bathrooms, take pictures and shop. The car was very comfortable for our party of 6 and Marcus was a wonderful driver. Once we reached our destination, a local guide took over to explain more about the history of Hallstatt. Frankly, we could have done without the narration and find a much better way to spend that time. We were given time afterwards to shop, explore and eat. I highly recommend this tour.

Good value for money trip - Favorite part of the tour was the Hallstatt stop. The town was quaint and the views good. The overall vibes of the town was not overwhelming as is with other famous tourist attractions. I think it was good value for money. Only down side was towards the latter part of the trip, our driver was somehow in a hurry to get us back to Vienna that I think he drove faster than was comfortable for me (was kind of worried at the speed he was going inside Vienna city proper).
