• Castleberry Hill - The Castleberry Hill neighborhood is located adjacent to and southwest of Downtown Atlanta. It has been a federally recognized historic district since 1985 and was designated a City of Atlanta Landmark District in 2006. Our walking tour includes visits to Old Lady Gage Restaurant, The Glam Shop, and Rasheeda and Kirk’s Frost Restaurant and Bar. According to H. Jerome Russell Jr., board chairman of the Russell Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, a nonprofit supporting Black entrepreneurs and small-business owners, Castleberry Hill boasts the highest concentration of Black-owned commercial real estate in the city.
• Tyler Perry Studios - We visit the exterior of the studio only. Acquired by Tyler Perry in 2015, the 330-acre lot is situated in the heart of Atlanta on the historic grounds of the former Fort McPherson army base. This major motion picture studio, one of the largest production facilities in the country, features forty buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places, twelve purpose-built sound stages, 200 acres of greenspace, and a diverse backlot. Tyler Perry Studios Fort McPherson represents the fourth expansion in the writer, actor, producer, director, and philanthropist’s creative empire.

Known as the South’s Hollywood, Atlanta is the setting for top reality shows. Discover Atlanta’s rich past, famous filming spots, shopping centers, and restaurants that feature in Atlanta’s Reality TV, with a particular emphasis on TV hits such as RHOA and Love & Hip Hop. Be prepared for a moderate amount of walking. There will be numerous opportunities for photos! Visit the hotspots where reality shows film and explore celebrity-run businesses, such as Kim Thomas’s Glam Junkie and Kandi’s Tags Boutique. We’ll stroll past exciting venues like 2 Chainz’s Escobar, The Frost Bistro by Rasheeda and Kirk, Old Lady Gang, The Glam Shop, and areas like Downtown, Castleberry Hill, and SWATs. Step into the world of Atlanta’s Reality TV, and you might just run into a famous face. Get set to spread the gossip! Note that we only visit the exterior of the Tyler Perry Studios. Moderate walking involved. Plenty of opportunities for photos!
