Great experience! - We spent 4 exciting and very interesting hours. Despite the crowds, our guide allowed us to live an unforgettable experience and made us discover intensely these incredible and unmissable places. Respected timing, we children also loved it!

The magnificent acropolis led by a fantastic guide (Kimon) - We took this guided tour with my wife and our 5 year old son. Kimon is an awesome guide who is passionate. The content of his visit is captivating and, in addition to having humor, he gives a fun side to the tour by regularly involving us through questions. I add a special mention for his patience, especially with young children.

Very nice visit with a quality guide - Excellent morning with Kimon, formerly an architect. He speaks French very well and has a sense of humor. We didn't see the morning go by. His explanations were clear, we clearly feel his passion for history and mythology in particular. Kimon took good care of the group, especially in the slippery passages on the acropolis. We recommend without hesitation!

To do, without hesitation - We chose to visit the Acropolis Hero in French. We were 2 families with 3 children aged 8 and 9, so a small group was perfect. Our Guide was Alexandra and she gave this tour a very enriching atmosphere, both for children and adults. We knew that she is an archaeologist by training and her knowledge was very important and she was able to answer all our questions in perfect French, bring additional elements, compare with other civilizations (Roman, Christian, Egyptian), which was very rewarding and give many anecdotes, allowing to retain essential information, which is rare in a guided tour. She was very pedagogical with the children, putting herself at their level (adapted vocabulary and kneeling to talk to them). She brought personal equipment to animate the tour (bravo for the playmobil gods and goddesses of Olympus), which pleased the children. And all with a smile and the desire to share. Only small downside, which explains why I did not put 5 stars, maybe the visit should be shortened to 2h or 2h30, because 3h is maybe a bit much for children. Thank you Alexandra for this beautiful visit to the Acropolis!

Too expensive, not children oriented - We booked the family friendly tour, but even though the place is amazing and the stories told during the tour were very interesting for adults, we would not suggested for families with young children because the explanations are very very long and somehow complicated. They play a game at the end, but I think the stories should be much more directed to children, more lively and short. Specially considering we are under a 38° sun and the place is very crowded. Then I would really suggest you buy your own tickets, there are a lot of discounted tickets and when bought through Alternative Athens, they just buy for you the adult ticket plus a fee (for them). We payed double the amount we should have payed and when we told them, they said they couldn't access the discounted fares but we think they should let you know that beforehand. Finally, we were very uncomfortable when we entered the Acrópolis and the tour guide just skiped the whole queue with the 15 of us, telling everyone that we had the earlier time slot (we should have met there earlier I guess). So overall the experience of the Acrópolis is amazing, but the tour is too expensive and it is just a regular adult tour.

Do Not use this company for tours from a Cruise ship - Beware if you are using them on tours from a Cruise ship. Our ship was delayed 30 min in the Athens harbor. We were on a small group tour with 10 people in our group. We called immediately that we were 30 min behind schedule and told the guide would not wait since there were 4 others in the group. We were told to go in the Acropolis and "look for her". There are approx 15-20 thousand people in there that day....there was NO way to look for her. We never found the guide. We were told that we were only entitled to a refund if we cancelled 24 hrs ahead....of course that is impossible when you don't know you will be 30 min late!!! DO NOT USE THEM IF THERE IS ANY CHANCE YOU WILL BE LATE OR NEED TO CHANGE THE PLAN.
