Very nice museum Very interesting - Superb museum very interesting for these famous statues of the Cyclades but it is not only that. Admission is €12 (cash/cash only). We can spend at least an hour there. It's worth it.

Time well spent! Definitely worth a visit! - Boutique, small gem, museum, right in the centre of Athens. Every minute of the visit, well spent! Impressive collection, great gift shop, friendly staff. We bought a gift for friends and the sales employee spent a lot of time to make sure it would be correctly/safely packaged for air travel. Nice area of Athens, time well spent.

Good, but repetitive - It was a good museum, maybe a little repetitive, but overall good. And the art itself seems like it was repetitive, using the same statue poses for a millennium. Its worth a stop but not a top thing to do imo

Enjoyed the upper floor the most - This museum has three floors and we started on the top floor and worked our way down. The top floor had excellent exhibits with each item identified with a photo along with a description. On the second floor, each item was identified by a number with corresponding descriptions in numeric order. On the lowest floor, items were again identified by a number but the corresponding descriptions were haphazard and in no particular order. There were many interesting artifacts (mainly pottery) on display as well as the white Cycladic female figurines. The exhibits were well lit and all descriptions were in Greek and English. We spent 90 minutes here but you could spend even longer if you take the time to read all of the detailed explanations of the different periods of civilization in the area.

Somewhat excessive reputation and enthusiasm - I explain: Cycladic art is a peak of creation (artistic?) in the history of humanity but at the same time its iconographic repertoire is limited a bit like that of cubism or that of belt buckles of the Edo period so that if we have already seen the magnificent copies of the archaeological museum this visit does not prove to be essential. The mansion is very elegant. I particularly recommend a snack in the cafeteria, the place is nice, nicely decorated, comfortable and the snacks offered tasty, original without excess and hearty enough to last until dinner, a special mention for desserts including one with pistachio that was the best of the stay, the very kind lady who manages it is of rare efficiency. The shop offers a large selection of interesting pieces. We did not appreciate the temporary exhibition.
