One of the best small museums - It's easy to overlook this gem as it's on a side street without much signage, and the name suggests it only houses ancient Cycladic artifacts -- of which it does have a great collection. However, there's also a special collection of artifacts from Cyprus and plenty of easily accessible information about life in ancient Greece; really interesting stuff. There's a lovely gift shop and cafe as well. It's also close to the Benaki, Byzantine, and military hiatory museums if you are inclined to see one museum in the morning and another in the afternoon.

Worth a visit. - Concise and effective museum that is laid out well and not overwhelming. They also had a brilliant Cindy Sherman exhibit in the stunning annex portion when I was there. It has a really lovely cafe too.

A really excellent smaller museum which I highly recommend - This is a really great smaller museum. It is not all devoted to cycladic art as there are other exhibits. When we were there there was an excellent exhibition about everyday objects in ancient Greece. This was a really interesting exhibition. The cafe is really good as well. The shop is excellent. This is a highly recommended place to visit.

Best museum I visited in December - Beautiful small museum with nice layout and beautiful exhibits. Some video exhibits as well. Not crowded and full of bus tourists. Would be nice if the National museum gave them all the exhibits to display since we can't see them there in December. Cute cafe and gifts shop, friendly staff.

Don't miss this museum! - My wife and I just loved this museum. It was so interesting we went back twice. Be sure to check out the lovely café on the ground floor. Good food and good wine at ideal prices. Oh, and make sure you get to the top floor for its wonderful presentation of life, marriage and death in Classical Greece. It's worth the price of admission alone. Go!

Rich collection - Museum located in a small street near the parliament. Entry €12 but included in the i-venture card (just show the qr-code at reception). Rich collection on the 4 levels of the building. It is well laid out and easy to visit. On the ground floor a very pleasant little tea room.
