• Changing of the Guard Ceremony - The next destination is the changing of the guard at the old Palace above Athens’ central square. Observe the disciplined Evzones unit of the Greek Army as they guard the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
• Panathenaic Stadium - Pause to capture a photo of the historic Stadium where the first modern Olympics took place in 1896!
• Temple of Olympian Zeus - Certainly, do not miss the temple of Zeus, the king of the Gods, which stands as the largest temple ever constructed in Greece. We will drive past the impressive columns, and if desired, make a brief stop for a closer look.
• Mount Lycabettus - We will transport you to the highest hill in Athens, Lycabettus Hill, where you can enjoy an unforgettable view.
• The Academy of Athens - Pass by the Academy of Athens, part of Greece’s first University, renowned as the most beautiful neoclassical building in the country.
• Ancient Agora of Athens - Explore the Ancient Agora of Athens to closely admire the best-preserved temple of the Golden Age. Walk where Socrates and Plato once did and discover the hidden gem, the Agora Museum.

Our tour will help you meet the Greek culture, the Greek history and the the Greek mentality in a day! Starting with the Acropolis hill, you will admire the most perfect of all temples in antiquity, the outcome of democracy. Next comes a drive in the modern city to see the Temple of the king of God’s, the 1896 Olympic Stadium and of course the changing of the guard and the Parliament House. After that we will head to the Ancient Agora to get closer to the best preserved temple in Greece, the temple for Hyphaistus! You will be hungry by then so we will have a stop to enjoy an authentic Greek lunch in one of the neighborhoods close to the city centre. Once ready our last stop will be the New Acropolis Museum, the best Museum in Greece that holds the marble statues and sculptures once standing on the Parthenon. After the Museum we will follow our way back to the port and drop you off at your cruise terminal.
