A must do experience! - Bill was fantastic as was overall customer service. The Acropolis and Olympic stadium were both fascinating and would highly recommend Big Bus Tours to anyone visiting Athens

A bit of a disappointment - The audio was fairly unclear and it always synch up with the stops. Also, the stop for the Acropolis Museum was a long walk up a hill. I saw other Hop on Hop Off busses stopped right at the entrance. Other than that, the itinerary was good and the staff was very friendly.

Boring, avoid - We opted for the Riviera trip, but to be honest it was pretty dull with not a great deal to see. Much of the journey was along a busy highway and through one of the largest building sites I’ve ever seen. The automated commentary was somewhat annoying, cutting out in the middle of a section as we approached a stop and not resuming. The bus seats were quite uncomfortable too. We asked the guide for a good place to hop off for a drink and snack and the stop he suggested, Voula Park, was in the middle of nowhere and there didn’t seem to be much there, so we didn’t bother.

Do the other Red Bus! - Not one of the better tours. Athens tour went by the same places many times. Didn't get off from route

Would not recommend - Doesn’t have Mandarin as a language even though the descriptions say it does. Some buses are so old the guides don’t work. This line only takes you around Athens, you have to pay 5 Euro extra a person to get all 3 lines. Some buses have no roofs and can be hot in the summer. Opt for the red city bus and pay the premium instead of this one.

Injuried, misdirected & dismissed. Dirty, overcrowded buses. Athens Big Bus ruined my trust after years of loyalty - Just to expand a bit — I’ve always been loyal to Big Bus in other cities and never had a complaint until Athens. This time: • A sudden stop injured both me and my friend (we were wearing the lap belts provided). • Staff gave us wrong info for the night tour we waited, no bus ever came. • We were also misdirected on the Beach line. • The buses were dirty and overcrowded, nothing like the premium service they advertise. When I contacted customer service, instead of really listening they basically dismissed everything with excuses. The “clarifications” in their reply made me feel like I wasn’t believed at all. They offered only a partial refund, which doesn’t even begin to cover how poorly this was handled. After years of using Big Bus worldwide, Athens has forced me to switch to other companies like City Sightseeing. I’ll never recommend Big Bus again.
