This 2.5-hour afternoon electric bike tour provides an opportunity to witness a stunning sunset in Athens while cycling through the city and visiting all the essential attractions. Enjoy the view of both ancient landmarks and the vibrant modern areas of the city in the refreshing afternoon air.
The tour guide will take you to all the key sites, as well as some lesser-known gems, and provide all the information needed to ensure a delightful stay in Athens!
- Our e-bikes are suitable for riders 152 cm (5 ft) and taller. If you’re between 152–160 cm, please let us know in advance so we can arrange a smaller bike. Participants under 152 cm can join with a regular bike
- Our tours will operate under all weather conditions, rain or shine
- Please arrive at the starting point 15 minutes early. The bike tour begins promptly at the scheduled time and late arrivals cannot be accommodated
- Please note that there are no restroom facilities at our meeting point
- This tour is suitable for all fitness levels, as long as you can ride a bike. Not recommended for those with heart conditions or other serious medical issues
- Participants must be over 12 years old
- This tour does not include entry to archaeological sites. The focus is on exploring the city’s layout, enjoying the ride, and capturing great photos and it does not include an in-depth historical commentary
- This tour is limited to a maximum of 12 participants
- The tour leader may modify the itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances or traffic regulations on the day of the tour

“Pedaling Through Athens with Dimitris — History, Laughter & a Surprise Opera Performance!” - Booking & Communication
Booking through Viator was simple, and Athens by Bike sent clear, detailed instructions about the meeting point and what to bring. The team was responsive and helpful with our pre-tour questions, which made everything stress-free.
Meeting Point & Punctuality
The meeting spot was easy to find, and check-in was a breeze. Our guide, Dimitris, greeted us right on time with a warm smile and energy that instantly set the tone for the day.
Transportation & Comfort
The e-bikes were in fantastic condition, easy to operate, and incredibly comfortable. Even one member of our family who isn’t in the best health was able to keep up with ease thanks to the electric assist. Helmets were provided, and safety was a top priority.
Itinerary & Pace
We covered 13 amazing stops throughout central Athens — from iconic ruins to hidden neighborhood gems — at a perfect pace. Dimitris gave us time for photos, breaks, and stories that brought the city to life.
Group Size & Atmosphere
The group size was just right for a personal feel while still letting us meet new people. We even made friends with another couple and joined them for dinner at Thomas’ restaurant after the tour.
Extras & Memorable Moments
One unforgettable moment? At one of the stops, Dimitris surprised us by singing opera — and he was unbelievable! His voice was as powerful and moving as his storytelling. Combined with his passion for Athens, it made the whole experience magical.

This tour was worth every cent. It was active yet easy, educational yet relaxed, and full of unexpected moments you’ll talk about long after you’re home.

A must do if you're not there for too long or try and get this in at the beginning of the trip so you can see all the key attrac - If you've not got long in Athens then this is an excursion for you! Or if you want to know all the key places to visit on your stay this is also a great excursion to do at the very beginning of your trip. The tour guy was great - informative, took great pictures and answered any questions any of the group had. I was so lucky with the group I was with, everyone was so friendly and so welcoming, everyone made an effort to speak to one another and that was because the tour guide had us all introduce ourselves at the very beginning of the tour!

Definitely recommend - We loved this tour. Kids loved taking in the sites and exploring Athens. Our tour guide Karolis shared his love for biking and the city and was incredibly patient with our group.

Athens by Bike - Absolutely fantastic experience! This electric bike tour was the perfect way to explore the key neighborhoods of Athens without breaking a sweat. The electric bikes made riding a breeze, even up some of the city's hills, so the difficulty level was minimal — ideal for all fitness levels.
Our tour guide, Dimitris, was outstanding. He was not only knowledgeable about Athens' rich history and culture, but also incredibly fun and engaging. His passion for the city really came through, and he had a great sense of humor that kept the whole group entertained throughout the tour.
We covered a lot of ground — from historic landmarks to vibrant local neighborhoods — and the route was well-planned to give a comprehensive view of the city's highlights. I left the tour feeling more connected to Athens and with a deeper appreciation for its charm and diversity.
Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Athens — it's informative, enjoyable, and a very cool way to see the city!

Just do the ebike tour! - Riding an ebike was a fabulous way to see Athens. Our guide was patient and allowed for loads of photo ops. He took us to many of the key areas and made great restaurant recommendations, which we followed up on and were not disappointed. Eric — I think that’s his name?! — let us know he’d been a guide for just two weeks when he led our group. He is obviously very talented as I would have thought he was a seasoned guide! The only thing I missed was taking photos of us With our bikes! Lots without but it would have been even cool to see we were actually on a bike tour.

Biking in Athens - My husband and I enjoyed our biking through Athens with Alex. It's a great way to acclimate to the city and become familiar with your surroundings. I really enjoyed Alex's humor, wit and knowledge of the area. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to see Athens from the perspective of a bike.

4 ride electric bikes for the first time! - This was the first time any of the 4 of us had ridden an electric bike! It was great. Mr K, our leader and guide, not only quickly ensured that we could control the bike safely and with confidence but provided much interesting information on the places and associated people on our route.
As for the route itself, it took us around the centre of Athens (without riding along busy roads) ensuring that we visited many fascinating areas.
We all finished safely and without hitting any pedestrians, cars or cats! What more could you want?

Elizabeth was amazing! So... - Elizabeth was amazing! So much fun riding around the city and hearing about Greek history! Highly recommend this activity. Don’t wear a dress. My friend and I wore dresses and definitely regretted it since you have to get on and off the bike multiple times due to the stops.

Refreshing EBike Tour of Acropolis General Area with Amazing Guide Karolis - Highly recommend. You get to see the highlights of Athens with the freedom of an ebike, in the fresh air, stopping for photos, shopping and a little lesson about 10 high points, e.g., Parthenon, Aeropagus Hill, National Gardens, Kerimatas Cemetary and the Thissio neighborhood, the Agora and the Panthenaic Oympic Stadium. Our guide Karolis was information, entertaining and patiently took photos of us at these locations when we asked that we will cherish, including the obligatory jumping shots with the Acropolis in the background. Afterwards we went to a roof top restaurant (18 Emmou) and continued our fun for the evening with Ouzo the National Drink of Greece!! Good times!!
