- Hill Athens Rooftop Restaurant - One of the top Greek sommeliers George Spyrou, will welcome you at our beautiful restaurant under the Acropolis with a first aperitif and a brief explanation of the wine map of Greece. The wine map features all major wine producing areas and the wine varieties of each one.
After a small talk, the wine tasting experience begins, and Dimitris will introduce special greek wines from handpicked local wineries. Depending on the wine varieties, special dishes also from selected greek producers will help the participants have the full wine experience.The inspiration comes from the local greek cuisine.
Participants have the chance to taste rare wine varieties such as Roditis, Limnio, Kidonitsa, Muscat, Augoustiatis, Mandilaras and many more carefully selected by the sommellier.

Absolutely wonderful wine tasting - We through this wine tasting on the end of our trip as a way to stay out of the heat and it ended up being one of the best activities we did. We were the only couple, so it ended up being truly private. The manager/sommelier was extremely friendly and the staff were super attentive. The views of the acropolis were awesome, though they were at a sharp angle so if were more crowded, some of tables would not have had the view. The pours were HEAVY and we sampled 8 or 9 wines. We were both feeling it by the end. Definitely don’t drive after this tasting! We will definitely do this one again if we are ever back in Athens.

Great wine and lovely views - Fabulous evening activity. The view is amazing, the wines were great. In-depth information about greek wine making, grape varieties, and the cheese pairings were lovely.

Lovely Wine Tasting - One of the best tasting experiences we have had in a very long time. Generous pours and a knowledgeable host. We went downstairs for dinner after and the hospitality did not end with the tasting. Excellent service and food.

Great post-dinner experience - One of the best experiences in Athens. The staff was welcoming and accommodating and created an ambiance. It was so great I bought 2 of the bottles I tasted at the airport at the end of the trip.

Perfect. Just what i hoped. - Guide was fantastic! I loved that we did it all. Olive oil, traditional gyro, legit wine tasting, full family dinner and ice cream!! Plus the walk through of all the neighborhoods you will be visiting while there. We did this our first day and it was a perfect way to get your bearings.

Amazing wine experience that you can not miss. The views, the wine, the service, once in a lifetime experience. A must do advent - The manager, who was our host, was gracious, educational, classy, funny, and fun. The rooftop location was the perfect setting, and the views were incredible. You are poured all Greek wines, and don't let the four glasses fool you as we had way more than four tastings. Did I mention our host was generous with our tastings, too. You are served local cheeses, bread, and olive oil that all enhanced the wines. Don't be surprised if you meet some new friends at your tasting too as we did. It was the perfect experience for our first day in Greece. Oh, and stick around for dinner after your tasting. The food was as amazing as the wine, and every team member at the restaurant made us feel so welcome.

Great fun with nice views - Great fun, beautiful views if you seat right next to the window (the wine tasting is in a room below the roof top, not on the rooftop itself) The Somelier was fun and polite. I for one (passionate about wine) thought that the teaching and description was a bit vague and didn't learn as much as I wanted. I think the overview of the different wines should be more methodical and follow a narrative or progression so it's not just tasting a bunch of different bottles. I also think that at the start, people should be given the chance to introduce themselves to the group so everyone gets relaxed and involved. The Somelier should pass each bottle around for us who want to read the info/detail. All in all grear fun! Recommended
