Knowledgeable guide and traditional Greek cuisine - Simos our guide took us on a walking food tour filled with traditional Greek dishes and brought the history of Athens to life.

Athens Food and City Walking Tour - Andreas was an incredible guide! He is very knowledgeable and his love of his city and country is evident. We learned a lot about Athens’s history, both ancient and current and visited several neighborhoods. The food was delicious and abundant. I would highly recommend this tour. Thank you Andreas for providing us with such an enjoyable experience!

Athens Highlight. - My family had a wonderful experience with Antigoni on the Athens food tour. We felt like we really got to know the local hidden gems of Athens. The experience was very authentic not to mention tasty! It was a highlight of our holiday.

Athens Food Tasting at its Finest! - Andreas was our guide and he was so charming & knowledgeable about the history & food delicacies of Greece! He took us to some wonderful food tastings, including Greek Oils, Traditional Greek Food and wonderful desserts.
I would definitely recommend this tour (just don't eat too much before you go ;) and request Adreas as your guide...Many Thanks for a wonderful day in Athens!!

This tour closed out our time in Athens with the perfect mix of food, culture and history. - This tour was the history of Greece through its food and culture. Absolutely amazing tour guide (Simos Trasanis) who brought it all to life for us as we wandered through parts of Athens we would never have seen otherwise. The foods at each of the stops were amazing and the stories made the whole experience unforgettable. I would do it again next time I'm in Athens and would recommend for anyone!!

Inciteful tour of Athens neighborhoods and tasty delights. - My wife and I spent 5 hours with Simos, from Alternative Athen, enjoying the sights, smells and tastes of a dynamic Athens. We visited 5 different neighborhoods, sampled great food, and were treated to encyclopedic knowledge about the capital of Greece. It was a terrific experience, well worth the price we paid for the tour. Simos was personable, as well as knowledgeable, and made Athens come alive for us. It was a high point in our Athens stay.

The perfect Athens experience - We are two couples from United States. We booked this private tour at the last minute and are thrilled that we did. It was an exceptional experience and well worth the money. Our tour guide Simos was exceptional. Extremely knowledgeable and also self-aware. He let us direct the pace and he allowed us to explore our interest based on his recommendations. It was an all-around fabulous day with great food and great company. We would definitely book this again.
