Great walking tour - In Athens, we had a great tour with Elissavet, who took us walking through several neighborhoods, shared cultural and historical info, and hit great food stops. She was easy going, flexible, and so kind to email me later with recipes for some of our favorite foods we had that day, and her recs for restaurants were spot on.

Excellent;-) - Thanks to Socrates, our guide for this very nice gourmet walk in Athens. He was able to adapt to our constraints, and shared his knowledge not only of Greek gastronomy but also of the history of the city.

Tasty and Educational!! - We thoroughly enjoyed this tour with Andreas! It was a small group- only my family of four and another couple- which was a fantastic size. We loved how Andreas gave us a history lesson on the food and culture as we went to each stop. The food was fantastic- I especially enjoyed the olive oil tasting and the “family style” feast at the taverna but every stop was great! We also enjoyed getting to see a little bit of each of the different neighborhoods instead of just the touristy areas. We would highly recommend this tour- but come hungry- you get a lot of food!!

Personal view into the history, culture, and food of Athens - Our gratitude to Antigoni! She led our group of 8 friends on a walking tour of the neighborhoods of Athens, offering insights from her family's story and weaving in history, culture, politics, stops for tasty food, and of course the great unifier in this part of the world - coffee. Thanks for adapting the tour to our prior travel experience. By far the most memorable city tour I've taken! We didn't make it to the recommended jazz club, but next time!

Wow! - This was such a great way to experience the delicious cuisine with a local. Food was amazing. Andreas, our tour guide, was phenomenal. And the walk was not bad at all. I would absolutely do this again.

Elena was amazing! - Elena was our guide and she was amazing!! We had 4 member of our group who are over 80. On a hot Athens day the walking was probably too much for them. Elena made modifications, was VERY understanding about us being slow and was very kind. The food was delicious. We would definitely recommend, but it was more walking than expected for elderly parents.

Alternative Food Walking Tour - We highly recommend the Alternative Athens Food Walking Tour. It is a fantastic way to experience authentic Greek food and Athens. Our tour guide Simos was very kind, informative, and very friendly. Highly recommend this tour.

Must do tour! - This was a fantastic tour through Athens. Great history and stops along the way to sample the cuisine! Andreas made the city come alive by showing us so many avenues, how it was and how it has become the place it is today! Must do tour!!

You won’t regret it!!! - This was such an amazing tour. Our tour guide Simos was so sweet, knowledgeable, and the places we toured with him were so good. He gave us the Greek history of each place we visited and explained what we were eating and where it originated from. He also gave us the history of places we were passing by. This tour was definitely worth the money and I’m still full hours later.
