The heba guide is very good. A very beautiful temple... - The heba guide is very good. It's such a beautiful temple and so much fun. I was staring at it. The guide is also good. It's been fun, fun, fun. The temple is a lot to see, so it's very difficult, but you should see it first.

Philae temple visit ! - We booked very last minute and was great communication- easy to find our tour guide. Heba - she communicated in good English and explained the temple well - I do recommend - also had the option to visit spice or perfumes if we wanted. We detoured by a local shop on the way home - so very helpful!

The tour guide Mohamed... - The tour guide Mohamed abdo is very nice and friendly. He walked us through the template with detailed introduction.

Great tour by Nice Tours - The tour operator was great and on my request delayed the tour by 1 hour as I got late to Aswan. They picked me up from the Hotel and transferred by car to Philae temple. Our tour guide Samy was very pleasant and gave us a detailed tour of the temple. He explained us the heliographic depictions of goddess Iris and Horus, the tale associated with the temple, rule by Greeks and romans and Nileometer. The travel to the temple in waterboat was also beautiful. Overall, a great experience.

Great private tour to Philae - Heba was our tour guide for Philae Temple and she was very kind to explain the details of the carvings on the walls of the temple and very well spoken English! We loved the tour with Heba

Mohammad Ando was a... - Mohammad Ando was a fantastic guide with a welcoming and friendly attitude. He took the time to explain the history behind the temple and also gave us plenty of free time to explore the temple. He was also helpful in helping us to organize the boat trip to another island .

Nice experience but beware of shopping - Guide was pleasant and informative. Once again (clearly this is how it works in Egypt) guide tried to push us to shop with his buddies for a commission. It gets old navigating that scam. He also used fake tickets dated Jan 2025 and pocketed the cash, then askedfor them back. It is what it is. We enjoyed the temple and his guidance despite it. If you understand the shopping commission scams, it helps move the experience along.

Mostafa is very... - Mostafa is very knowledgable and I enjoyed my time at Philae temple - listening to his stories of the stories of isis and other gods.

Great tour guide, great product, but not so great of a tour company (poor and ambiguous communication) - This was a great tour with a great guide, and honestly; really good value but the parent company (Nice tours) messed up a few things that should not happen for a reputable company. The time of our tour came, and we could not find the tour guide. We contacted the company (who had been in touch with us for days and confirmed the pickup time the night before) but when we tried to contact them at the time of the tour, they didn’t respond. Neither did we receive our driver or guide’s info (most companies will have the driver or guide contact you prior to pickup). We waited for 20 minutes outside (most tours pick you up at the front of your hotel and the guides usually don’t come in or don’t come at all and meet you at the site, as we had experienced in other tours). Finally, we went to our hotel concierge, and the guide who was standing in the very room we walked by to get to the front said he was from Nice tours. Once we got on the baat, the guide didn’t know that the booking included the boat ride and asked us for money. It’s a good thing I knew it was included, and reminded him. The company should have told him, he shouldn’t have to rely on my word as to what’s included or not. This can be detrimental for the traveler or company. It was unclear in the documentation sent as to whether the admission ticket to the temple was included, but we paid the guide for it anyway as I didn’t want him to pay out of pocket. Lastly, the water and snack advertised was not provided (not a big deal, but just another instance of the company promising something and not delivering or communicating to the guide and driver). The guide himself was fantastic, he was kind, intelligent and really knew his information. He uses a laser pointer to point to the hieroglyphics that really enhances his presentation and makes what he’s saying easier to follow. I really appreciated it. I also felt bad for him because he said he normally doesn’t do pickups and someone else was supposed to, and at the last minute he had to do it. The driver, while a great driver, was waiting at the wrong hotel so even after we met our guide, we had to wait another several minutes for the driver. Our tour as a result was delayed by 30 minutes and ended 30 minutes late. In the future I would recommend Nice tours - ideally be available at the time of booking but I make sure clients meet the providers (driver or guide) and if that’s not possible, at least give the driver or guide the contact info for the passenger or the passenger the information for the driver / guide so they can locate each other (most companies in egypt do this) - Communicate clearly with staff on inclusions and exclusions in the booking and make sure it aligns with what is provided

Very rushed experience - Philae Temple is worth a visit but I would not recommend this tour. The tour does take you to the temple/island as described but the guide makes the experience feel extremely rushed such that you don’t enjoy your time there. They try to take you to the temple for only half an hour and then to a perfume factory afterwards. We had to push the guide for more time and he seemed extremely annoyed with us and kept threatening to leave. You need at least 1.5-2 hours at the temple to fully enjoy it and take pictures.
